The giant ad for WhereWhitePeopleMeet.com, between 5600 W. and 7200 S., is turning heads and leaving residents with many unanswered questions. A FOX 13 viewer who wanted to remain anonymous voiced concerns about the dating service that, according to its website, has a main office in North Salt Lake. Several Utahns spoke with FOX 13 News about their take on the billboard. “I just don’t think it’s the way to teach our kids to love all when you see billboards like that," Kim Gilbert said. Michelle Dessau said she thinks the billboard represents exclusionary views. “I just feel we should be past that whole mindset of staying within our own race and segregation pretty much," Dessau said. For instance, Asian girls don't really do anything for me, but it doesn't mean that I'm racist if I actively look for a partner that is more to my liking.

There's some fucked up double standard going on. It's fine to have dating sites specifically for races, but when us Caucasians do it then it's "outdated thinking" and an awful idea.

Separate but equal dating sites :v: Its really not anything to be worried about though.

Seems a bit silly to use this rather than a general dating site since the user base is probably much smaller. I don't find it offensive though.

I have literally (yes I used a dating site once, so sue me) seen people lie about their race on a dating site. Hell, half the time the filters don't even work properly. I see nothing wrong with a site like this existing. There is nothing wrong with being white, there is nothing wrong with dating only white people, if that's your personal preference, and anyone upset over this site's existence needs to find something worthwhile to do with their time.

It's a benefit for everyone really. People who don't want to date people from other races get to search only for people from their own race, and people who don't want to have to waste time on people who were never going to date them anyway get those people removed from their pool because they all migrated to another site.

Why would such site offend anyone? How is that connected to "racism"? Strange.
