‘Where White People Meet’ dating site billboard turning heads in Utah

Damn, I was gonna reply to that whole "blacks can't be racist" line of his, but Jack just roasted this guy, can't top that
Now now, this concept really isn't that hard to wrap your head around. In fact, I'm sure that most people here were taught a much simpler summary at some point in school.
Everyone is equal.
Some just have to be treated more equal than others.
Oh and to address this directly:
what's with the aggression?
I don't hate you by the way. Oh no, I was raised in the Upper Midwest and while I might respond to everything you say with a deeply condescending passive-aggressive (or actually aggressive-aggressive) tone, I don't hate you at all. On the contrary I pity you. Why? Well because to be like you it means you have to be genuinely ignorant in just about everything, which is very dangerous because I think about all the terrible things I've been through and imagine how somebody like you could survive even a fraction of it and not be completely broken.
I worry for people like you every goddamn day, in fact I spend most of my thoughts worrying about people like you that I bump into. I know I can't protect you from the world or from some mean motherfucker who wants to use you up and leave you a broken mess, so all I can do is hope you'll smarten up before that day comes.

I like how I tried to post that and it didn't go through, so the other part I was going to add I scrapped and then I refreshed and it went through.
Either way I hope you don't go your entire life believing that equality is bullshit, I hope that's something that changes about you.
Just like "black power" is fine, but "white power" is well-known to be a racist movement. This isn't a difficult concept
Black power was fine decades ago when the black community in the United States faced systemic, institutional discrimination at nearly every level of society. It represented solidarity in the struggle for self-determination. In 2016 I'd argue that it would turn almost as many heads as someone standing up and saying White Power in a public area because we have changed as a society. There are still areas that need improving with regards to racial equality in the US but it's no longer so ubiquitous.
I also disagree with your attempts to redefine racism. Just because a minority is "oppressed" doesn't make them incapable of racism. Either these sites are racist or they aren't.
Just like "black power" is fine, but "white power" is well-known to be a racist movement. This isn't a difficult concept
Being proud of your skin tone is silly but black supremacy is just as bad as white supremacy. Violence from black radicals is just as bad as violence from white radicals. Discrimination that harms white people is bad just like discrimination that harms non-white people.
The point is that making a dating website specifically for an oppressed minority is fine but making a dating website for a majority specifically to exclude minorities is racist.
Only oppressed people can be racist? You don't see that as an absurd double standard? They can't even just be a minority either (like white people in Japan or Korea).
Some people should take a step back, without choosing sides, and think "why is this causing controversy?"
It's almost like there's a complex cultural and historical context to take into account here

It does not. Apply. HERE.

jeez what did I do to you buddy?
Why wouldn't it?

It's almost like people use the complexity of racism history to justify their bigoted hatred of something that literally harms nobody.
Could you please point out how exactly that website perpetrates discrimination against non-whites? No? Then don't barge in pretending you know better than everybody else because you supposedly are familiar with cultural and historical context.
There is literally nothing wrong with this. People are just pissy because white people get to enjoy something. Something that minorities can enjoy also.

I said without choosing sides and if you saw my earlier post in this thread you'd know where I stand.
I can't point out how this website perpetrates racism because it doesn't and I never believed it did, you people are so goddamn ready to jump on the offensive
Some people should take a step back, without choosing sides, and think "why is this causing controversy?"
Some white people do not like the black booty, prefer to look for white partners.
Self-appointed [del]semi-sentient[/del] bastions of equality and acceptance think this is racist, proceed to screech.

I'm really, really getting tired of this new strategy you guys have come up with of "No, you can't be on their side, and you can't say anything that makes it look like you might be on their side, just be neutral but also debate me on it, and if you can't you lose".
Why can't I be on a different side than you and debate it with you? Are you so fragile that I have to already agree or at the very least not-disagree with you to debate with you in such a way that you won't be emotionally damaged?
You aren't even proposing an argument your just going "Look, can you see how some people might see this as a problem? I don't have a problem with them but if you're not one of them you should be neutral so that they can do that thing they're doing without you interrupting them."
Like, your posts have no substance, you claim not to have a position (despite having an obvious bias) and as far as I can tell you're just baiting.
[rage]
Calm down, mate. I think you're yelling at the wrong guy, his only other posts here were
I'm pretty much exclusively attracted to other white people, it's not racist it's a preference that I have no control over.
...and then one where he wondered why would people get so assmad over that site. I perfectly understand the mindstate one can get when trying to argue with our resident ultra-lefties, and the cirrhotic and incoherent hate that starts to brew when you think you've found another one. But the best thing we all can do is staying calm and get a better understanding of others' opinions before jumping to conclusions.
I'm exclusively attracted to whites
This is fine
I'd want them to continue my lineage and culture
This exhibits a complete misunderstanding of what race is

Ethnic groups contain their own endemic cultures, I have a lot of ancestry that goes way back to certain ones and take pride in that, for which I'd like to preserve without diluting into different haplogroups so please explain your statement to me.

I have a stance, I think this website should be allowed. You're assuming so much of me.

Your ancestry isn't going anywhere regardless of who you choose to have offspring with, preservation of your culture falls on you so unless you choose to let that go it's not going away either.
I think the niche for blackpeoplemeet is that it's not necessarily so easy to meet other black people. the tagline for this site is "where white people meet". That's literally fucking EVERYWHERE in America. It just seems to me like if you're into white people only, but not a racist
I see what you're trying to do here, totally unnecessary to say "and not racist" implying anyone who uses this site is racist. Bit of a flaw in your deduction there. Not to mention you say they would go onto eharmony and "not hit up black people". Well if that's their motive, why not just provide the demographic on the site from the get go, instead of making them specifically filter it out... I'm not seeing your point here.

Nothing wrong with being attracted to one's own race, but seems like an odd thing to be to the degree of being the first thing you filter out categorically and right off the bat, black or white.
I really don't get what people have against this, we live in times were equality is so damn important.
So either allow none of these ethnic specific dating sites to exist, or allow all of them.
Saying otherwise is just straight up racism in itself IMO.
I honestly think whitepeoplemeet, blackpeoplemeet, and the like shouldn't exist at all. I understand that people have preferences but I think it only perpetuates racially segregated ideals that isn't necessarily racism but a form of xenophobia.
I'm still wondering why this is even a debate. It's 2016, people want to be able to make a site that tends to their likes. Big deal, stop the presses.
I can't believe its the current year and people want to date within their own race, that's so racist!
