It starts as this, soon there's going to be items exclusively for purchase.
It starts as this, soon there's going to be items exclusively for purchase.
Read the FAQ. Valve said they're not going to do this so there's no segregation between people who buy things and people who don't.
Microsoft has customers, Valve has fan- customers.
I personally am going to buy $5 of shit and enjoy it, along with the free hat they're including too
So instead of using your credit card to buy things, you use your credit card to put money into your wallet and then buy things? Sounds complicated.
So instead of using your credit card to buy things, you use your credit card to put money into your wallet and then buy things? Sounds complicated.
+ Valve gets interest you'd get from your bank...
I know you can still craft/etc, but still, what the hell? I thought that you had to earn it, not spend money on it impatiently.
It's an experiment. It'll still be a mostly level playing field as long as you're not up against a douchebag that spent hundreds to get everything.
Seriously, $5 is the price for a weapon in a video game? Hahaha holy shit.
I looked at the new stuff in Gmod and there is way more then I thought
does anyone remember vanilla tf2 vanilla tf2 owned this doesn't make it worse or anything but tf2 has become so much more...mottled and messy in the past 2 years. There's so much shit, so many maps, everything, lol this is just adding yet another thing onto it its cool w/e but sometimes I remember how nice and simple TF2 was at the start
Vanilla TF2 >>> Current TF2

It's nice.

think iTunes guys its not that bad
^--- This man is right. Sniper full pack makes you Immune to Headshots...Which basiclly means fuck you snipers who wanna kill this sniper.
So basicly the more money you have... the better you are on the battlefield? Come on, I thought games are about skill and fun.
So basicly the more money you have... the better you are on the battlefield? Come on, I thought games are about skill and fun.
no please don't start this those weapons that cost more than the actual game itself? three ways to get them 1. buy them for $50, go ahead and pay for content you can get if you're patient and lucky enough 2. trade for them 3. wait generally if the player is stupid enough to go and buy all the weapons they're very likely to be a horrible player anyways
Read the FAQ. Valve said they're not going to do this so there's no segregation between people who buy things and people who don't.
The FAQ doesn't mean it's put down in ink. It's gonna change.
Vanilla TF2 >>> Current TF2
I agree.
You know what I want Valve? Group Items. I want it so if I make a Realism Group in DoD:S I can make a skin/model which my grouppies can use on the server or other servers.
I don't really want to buy in-game shit, I been always against it since. It's like on CS:S if they made that in order to buy a weapon on a buyzone map you will need to use wallet. Fuck that shit.
I nearly had a heart attack when I started up TF2 and saw the In-game store. What happened to Vanilla TF2?
I don't really want to buy in-game shit, I been always against it since. It's like on CS:S if they made that in order to buy a weapon on a buyzone map you will need to use wallet. Fuck that shit.
So don't buy anything then, nobody is forcing you to.
worst part is everyone is defending this just because it's valve
Who's defending it? All I see is you guys bitching through the whole thread. Oh boo hoo, now you can also buy hats. What a fucking rip off. Better stop giving Valve your monies and move to other company.
^--- This man is right. Sniper full pack makes you Immune to Headshots...Which basiclly means fuck you snipers who wanna kill this sniper.
Immune to headshots, not to bodyshots, backstabs, fire, explosives, etc. And the sniper with the fully equipped loadout can't make headshots himself, so he's less of a threat for it.
Valve introduces paid DLC, and hell begins to freeze over
if they add DLC like story campaigns for the classes i would totally buy them. but if they do it like MMOs where you buy an item for real money you get an EXTREME advantage, then TF2 may drop down on my favorites list...
I don't understand why people would be pissed about purely optional DLC.
You can't headshot others either though. So what goes around comes around.
It's not like the Sidney Sleeper was totally OP though. Oh wait it is
It's not like the Sidney Sleeper was totally OP though. Oh wait it is
It's not. Jarate is strong indeed. But, a headshot is stronger. [editline]10:08PM[/editline] However to make it more balanced it should be on hit with full charge if it isn't.

a hat for tf2 is more expensive than tf2. What the fuck.
