Please understand there's more to ethnicity than just skin colour. Oh wait you're American.
I was with you in this thread, until that last line.
You can't say ethnic American (except for First Nations/Aboriginals/American Indian/Person of Origin) because the US is made up of Immigration. Its always been a mix of many different cultures and ethnic groups. Sweden on the other hand has traditionally been dominated by a single ethnic group. [editline]6th April 2014[/editline] Not sure about what I should say about the UK.
so how many immigrants does Sweden need first for this to actually be a workable argument
Millions, and hundreds of years to mingle about, if you mean for it to be like the US. Sweden is a tad smaller so maybe the numbers could change.
so how many immigrants does Sweden need first for this to actually be a workable argument
You can't change your ethnicity but you can change your nationality. If the ethnic Swedish majority became a minority they would still be the ethnic Swedes. Talking about ethnicity, especially with new world countries is just a mess since nobody can really agree on what it really means.
Maybe it's because I've never been anywhere besides American, but it's just weird to see someone with citizenship not a person of that country. I get the ethnic angle but honestly why bring it up? I've never seen a story about American criminals where the immediate first post is "Not an American, just a Mexican with American citizenship". And that's considering the fact that Mexican immigrants are likely the most "contentious" here.
Oh wait you're American.
Ignorant shitposting.
this thread is aweful what happened
this thread is aweful what happened
people had to throw around the citizen =/= ethnicity card all over.

If I move to Germany and get a German citizenship, I remain British. How big of an issue that is is up for debate, though.
so a swede?
person with swedish citizenship =/= swede, that's not how europe works sweden isn't the US or australia [editline]7th April 2014[/editline]
I've never seen a story about American criminals where the immediate first post is "Not an American, just a Mexican with American citizenship".
so you're tacitly implying that only one ethnic group in an entire country can call themselves a Swede? "ive seen many swedes in my time this one clearly is a fake and an al-shabaaby one that that"
I'd hate to break it to you but most countries in Afro-Eurasia work like this. Because we have had settlers and ethnicities living in the same area for hundreds of years unlike the current settlers in the americas, so yeah, that means that being a citizen of Sweden doesn't necessarily make you a swede. It's not something racist, it's more just an accepted cultural norm, It's not like these "non-ethnic" citizens are treated differently by most people anyway.
I hope he's banned from ever entering sweden again. There's so many cases of muslims attending training camps and then just walking right back into their host country to recruit additional muslims. The alphabet agencies are completely aware and won't do shit because it's such a "sensitive subject". [editline]7th April 2014[/editline] And who gives a fuck about ethnicity/nationality/ citizenship. The title is fixed yet les than ten posts mention the article itself. Great job.
I'm British because I was born in Britain. If I move to Germany and get a German citizenship, I remain British. All those countries you listed have migrants as citizens. Unless you're willing to provide me the exact point where the line is drawn between just another European country and America.
but what if he was born in sweden? Jeez guy it's like you're completely ignoring how native populations work, and that Europe has ethnic groups just as much as Africa or Asia.
yeah i dont really see how difficult this is if 2 somalian parents, or bosnian or whatever, have a baby, its going to be a somalian baby and a swedish citizen (if born in sweden obv) whats difficult to grasp here? ive never seen an ethnic afro-swede b4
If he was born in Sweden he would be an ethnic Somalian but Swede in everything else. Jeez guy it's like you're completely ignoring how native populations work.
what has ethnicity got to do with anything to begin with anyway I'm kinda disgusted how it became the focus of this with Hellstens usual attempt to distance the 'bad swedes' from the 'good' ethnically pure ones.
but what if he was born in sweden?
then he's a Swedish person, if your born in a place your native to that country and area but most people will say they are this because their parents are that.. i have to really wonder why they do their attacks, what does it really gain them at the end of the day beyond hate of their religion and culture.
yeah i dont really see how difficult this is if 2 somalian parents, or bosnian or whatever, have a baby, its going to be a somalian baby and a swedish citizen (if born in sweden obv) whats difficult to grasp here? ive never seen an ethnic afro-swede b4
how about one of your former politicians? Nyamko Sabuni. She wasn't even born in Sweden. probably not

She's a Swede, but she's not an ethnic Swede.
She's a Swede, but she's not an ethnic Swede.
That's still pretty different from
Not an actual Swede. It's a Somalian with Swedish citizenship.
Because the first page is full of 'you're not really Swedish unless you're ethnically Swedish' and now it's backpedaling to 'well you can be Swedish and not be ethnically Swedish'. Which is true, but very obviously not the same thing.
I think we should just nuke Sweden off the map to end this discussion, it's not like anyone wants it.
i hope he gets deported back to somalia where he belongs fucking immigrants who belongs to militant religious (aka islam) groups should get their citizenship removed and kicked out of the country
That's still pretty different from Because the first page is full of 'you're not really Swedish unless you're ethnically Swedish' and now it's backpedaling to 'well you can be Swedish and not be ethnically Swedish'. I might be wrong, but I think he's written a bunch of stuff about immigration to Sweden before.
I think we should just nuke Sweden off the map to end this discussion, it's not like anyone wants it.
lets say we do, being that you live in finland as the radioactive dust slowly rains down on eurozone begins to effect millions and kill a good percent of people because of poisoning and other related things because the area that's being destroyed and the amount of nukes that would be required. overall its a bad idea.

I'm the one trying to make ethnicity not important here, not you. [editline]7th April 2014[/editline]
Bro this is getting really embarrassing how you're repeatedly slamming into the same wall over and over.
It's worth the sacrifice.
considering a single one or even a reactor can create a big impact to the world, i'd say it isn't. because we all breath the same air.
i hope he gets deported back to somalia where he belongs fucking immigrants who belongs to militant religious (aka islam) groups should get their citizenship removed and kicked out of the country
Yes because all muslims are violent and malicious and the majority are certainly not migrating to escape the militant islamist shitholes they lived in.
Please understand there's more to ethnicity than just skin colour. Oh wait you're American.
Wow dude, I thought you were cool. You're just a dick instead.
