Religion disgusts me.
This isn't a religion problem its a problem with the way their particular religion works, as long as they cling to fundamentalist views western culture will never be properly integrated in any Muslim society. Thus, we are left with the gross treatment of women the outright persecution of those of different belief and the shit-tier sharia laws.
Holy shit this is fucking disgusting. im literally at a loss for words here.
Unsurprising, but why should I care? that what they do in those countries.

This shit alone should spark a revolution imo
That is really disturbing. It's really becoming easy to see the where some of the Islamophobics in Europe are coming from. I don't support their every belief but when Sharia is allowed in western countries then we have a serious problem.
Protip: It isn't. The sharia courts in any Western country have no legally binding authority whatsoever, and are only allowed to deliberate minor cases with the consent of both parties.
isn't like 1 qatari rial like 0.2 usd that's some mad bank those women get
same goes for men that 1 qatar rial is not going to magicly turn to 500 usd if a man hold it
i have no words
Barbarians.
that's a comparison you should have mentioned, that both women and men are equally poor
poor in US currency? yes poor in their very own country currency? heck no
poor in US currency? yes poor in their very own country currency? heck no
Another currency other than the dollar? Now I've seen everything.
Unsurprising, but why should I care? that what they do in those countries.
Its attitudes like that which let shit like this continue to happen in the world. "Oh it doesn't affect me, why should I care! That's just what they do"
Sadly sharia law courts are recognised in Muslim communities for domestic cases in the UK. Womens rights in the UK have been compromised and religion has now got its foot back in the door. Legal, politics and religion should be kept totally separate. I'm ashamed for what is happening here, the government should shut them down.
That shit has got to stop.
I find it funny when Muslims come to the US and Canada to escape persecution, yet they bring Sharia law and their backwards values with them and think everything will be OK.
The only legal applications of sharia law in the US and Canada are for civil disputes between two people as an alternative to suing. You can work out your differences with someone else however you want, within the bounds of the law. (No duels, sorry) Sharia law isn't used for criminal cases in North America and never will be

Crazy, but of course the UAE is a great US ally so it's alright.
I can't believe this shit is even possible in this age....
If people are witnessing you getting raped then I dunno, maybe they're a participant
Yeah, I was kind of wondering if those four required "witnesses" would get charged.... I don't think I really want to know.

what a disgusting place
Those arab countries make no sense, on the one hand you have giant luxurious skyscrapers such as in Dubai which make the country seem advanced and civilized, and on the other hand you have this kind of barbaric, immoral and stupid laws
UK 'sharia courts' have no legal strength whatsoever.
No they do not but mufti can still punish their own people by sharia law in other countries. For example, it's not uncommon for young muslims to be ignored by the muslim community for weeks and in extreme cases even months as punishment for doing something that is considered wrong by sharia. No muslim is allowed to talk to or help the poor boy/girl until the mufti says it is ok. Thats how it is in sweden anyways.

I wonder how people who support this law would react if someone such as, their own mother/sister/daughter is raped. If they continue to support it after the fact, then that blows my mind.
Religion disgusts me.
Your bigotry disgusts me. this isn't a question of religion, it's a question of fucked up social conditions. Get over yourself.
There really is something wrong with Islam in general isn't there.
is she a bulldozer that runs over jews or a jew operating a bulldozer
Or a Jew fused with a bulldozer. Instead of a roaring engine, you hear 'MAZZELTOV!'

If I had to choose just ONE reason to move the entire world off of oil, it would be to bleed all the money away from places like this.

Notice I said that these courts are recognised in Muslim communities in the UK and not by the UK legal system. Next time you think about taking a bite read the post properly first. Its said that both parties have to agree to go through these courts. It is fair to say in some cases the women are not given a choice despite the fact they afre UK residents. Some sections of the Islamic community really are cut off socially and culturally from the western states they live in. Sad times for womens rights. Edit: Just noticed who that is, FP troll, nice try.
