Looks cosy, like you're on a sleeper train all day. :>
Anyone have any large scale images of the city?
They might actually share a bathroom.
When I went and visited a fellow relative in China, one second I would be on a street full of life and fancy hotels but when I were to walk down a little alley into the dense residential area, shit got cramped. My relatives lived in a single room apt, mom dad and daughter. Across the hall would be the little kitchen they had, and apparently they shared the bathroom with neighbors.

Individualism is strong in Hong Kong

Okay, they're not really "large scale", but it should give you an idea about how it looks.

Note: This is not the entire Hong Kong.

Part of me wants to live in one of these.

Would you recommend a trip there?

note though that this is the central district - manhattan is to new york state as central is to hong kong. low-income housing is typically in the kowloon or new territories areas.

^ you guys are gonna love this interview
edit: well shit this is the photographer lol
This really makes me want to boot up hammer.
It looks like something out of Inception doesn't it. I look at these pictures and it stuns me that the thousands of air conditioning units can all function, drain adequately... that the water all works, power all works. Amazing. Wonder if each unit has its own toilet?
Part of me wants to live in one of these.
I wouldn't, would get depressed real quick being tightly cramped into so much clutter with nothing but skyscrapers outside the window.
Part of me wants to live in one of these.
One person could probably deal with it, 2 or more is just way too close for comfort.

It looks so cool, like something out of science fiction. Shame about the lack of bathrooms.
Would you recommend a trip there?
If you tolerate heat and humidity then sure. It's a beautiful place and very "alive".
The nature is interesting as well if that's your thing, but I prefer the skyscrapers and all the people. I mean, I live in Stockholm, it's an old city. Visiting Hong Kong is like stepping into a movie.
I want to visit Tokyo and New York someday in the future, they give the same vibes.
it goes on forever

Same. It looks very cosy. I wouldn't want to spend my life there but a week with your closest friends would probably be nice.
This on the other hand does not look very attractive. To me it would only work if you were with someone.

Trust me, as someone who lives in New York, it's not all that it's cracked up to be.
Trust me, as someone who lives in New York, it's not all that it's cracked up to be.
Well obviously if you live there it's not gonna be anything special. I very much enjoyed my visit.

Well I would rather be in my homeland than New York.

This is incredible, I would love to live in something about this small. Maybe twice as large.

Buy a caravan.
I hate tiny cramped places, living in one of these living cubicle things would drive me literally insane in not even a week's time.
I'm starting to think I have Claustrophobia...
I'd like to live in a smaller apartment than most people would, but those are just insane.
Part of me wants to live in one of these.
There'd be no room for your other part.
No, no and no. Who are these people saying they want to live in those little cramped apartments?
My bedroom is easily four of those apartments combined, I would never even think of moving into something so tiny.
Behold the future of the human race
Reminds me of the apartment blocks in the recent Dredd movie.

For some reason, this reminds me of cyberpunk.
