Use of audio should go to Bad Company 2, seriously get some headphones and play BC2. Plus CoD nominated for more awards than Mass Effect 2? Ruddy BAFTAs
Bad Company 2's sound design is spectacular.
How is Fallout: New Vegas a strategy game? That makes even less sense than half of Call of Duty's awards.
It takes strategy to not have it crash on you.

black ops story: Numbers, Numbers everywhere [editline]17th February 2011[/editline] also assassins creed deserves all it's award spots [editline]17th February 2011[/editline] And Super mario galaxy 2 deserves best music
Last year, Call of Duty didn't win a single category except for the one people could vote for
Hey Black Ops' story was pretty good ok
What is with the hate on Black Ops? I don't get it.
I've never played it, but I can't help but feel that it's only being nominated due to it's sales and hype. I'm sure Black Ops is a fun game, but is no way innovative to the industry.
uh so where is Red Dead Redemption?!
Out of the listed "top-nod(nominations..?)" Mass Effect 2 seems to be the only worth award(s) oh you have to be kidding me TECHNICAL INNOVATION Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood Call of Duty: Black Ops Halo: Reach Heavy Rain Kinectimals Super Mario Galaxy 2 lol'd
You could have made the same point by bolding Halo Reach or Super Mario Galaxy 2 But that wouldn't have fit in with Facepunch's hatred of Call of Duty
I liked the days back with CoD2. The engine was optimised for almost every PC (in the same way that Valve optimised Source engine), so the game ran really well and looked awesome (I only had an FX5600 and that thing managed to run it fine), but by the time CoD4 came around, their engine was starting to be aimed at getting the graphics they wanted regardless of the performance hit. And now with Black Ops it's basically just gotten worse. I don't mean to say that their engine should run well on an old shitbox computer, but it should at least do ok on the low-mid range of PCs. [editline]18th February 2011[/editline] If they fixed up performance for the wider audience, then I could see where technical innovation comes in, but right now I just don't see it.
Uh. Super Mario Galaxy and Heavy Rain?
Super Mario Galaxy maybe, but not Super Mario Galaxy 2. Heavy Rain isn't innovative, Farenheit did it first.
You could have made the same point by bolding Halo Reach or Super Mario Galaxy 2 But that wouldn't have fit in with Facepunch's hatred of Call of Duty
Halo: Reach was good, Bungie aren't dickish developers even though a lot of people like to think this, they actually put effort into their games. /fanboy
It's sad how people go by the bandwagon game reviewers opinion. If they played black ops, they would remove it from several categories.
uh so where is Red Dead Redemption?!
Not mainstream enough for retards at the bafta douchebag authority to even consider.
Video games awards / lists have never been very credible, no matter how prestigious the award is
No mention of Portal 2... :smith:
Hey guys you know what's funny an award show outside of the US LOL FUNNY
No mention of Portal 2... :smith:
It hasn't even been released yet.
Fun fact: In black ops, almost all of the weapon sounds and reloading were exactly the same sounds and reloading animations from MW2.
I'm not that bothered by this. Gun sounds don't change, why record them again?

Halo reach and super mario galaxy 2 are probably the best looking games of 2010 on their platforms
Hey Black Ops' story was pretty good ok
go read a book
I have created a thread in General Gaming Discussion: http://www.facepunch.com/threads/1061350-The-British-Academy-Video-Game-Awards-AKA-The-BAVGAs-AKA-Video-Game-BAFTA
go read a book
I don't need to read a novel to know what a good story is. Black Ops's story was pretty good.
Ladies and gentlemen i present to you, how to lose all credibility.
Heavy Rain isn't innovative, Farenheit did it first.
It's funny because they were both made by the same company.
