Rick Parry announces "He's Running for President" -

Parry has less power in texas as people think. Most the success of the last few years in texas that he is riding off of was gained by the senate house of texas, or by third parties.
He did though do some SERIOUS, SERIOUS,SERIOUS,SERIOUS budget cuts to the education system though.
I live in texas, I live in austin, the capital. My family and I have run into this dip shit a lot of times, hell we even know people who have done some business with him. Disregarding his politics, the guy comes off as a sleazes ball in person.
SADLY though, I think he will probably get the nomination, because the other GOP candidates are so shitty.
I personally hope he gets the nomination, that way it's almost a guarantee obama gets re-elected, and that he gets made of an ass out of himself and he hopefully resigns as the gov.
+ it will be fucking hilarious to see what John Stewart does with the new political material.
I'd rather not see him get nominated even if he made an ass of himself. Remember how well that worked out for Sarah Palin? Before she was a nobody and now she's all over the news and people take her seriously.
The only good thing to happen is she resigned from being governor of Alaska. But Texas can suffer with Perry so I don't have to hear about him ever again.
Is there a single good republican candidate?
I don't get america, why does everyone have to be so left or right, can't anyone just think what's best for the country?
Left? There are no leftist politicians in America. None that have any real power anyway.

Cenk Uygur 2012.
Rick Parry 2012!!
Cenk Uygur 2012.
Did you know he made like $300k off his YT channel alone before going on MSNBC? What the hell!
I read that he did that by taking money out of the education budget for the state and giving it to corporations. Also getting rid of some environmental regulations, which seems really dumb considering the horizon oil disaster still has some real painful lingering effects.
short term gain, long term loss I think
What, also the environmental regulation he's wrangling with are related to air pollution from factories and oil refineries and not marine discharges
Also the Horizon was off Louisiana in Federal waters

In the Senate, you have Bernie Sanders and a handful of Progressives. In the House, you have at least 50 Progressive Caucus Representatives. However, these people alone aren't able to push the legislative in their desired direction.
He won't make it. There's no way.
The top 3 Rep. candidates are Mitt Romney, Ron Paul, and... ugh, Michelle Bachmann. Obviously Bachmann will never get a nomination but if she does it's so fucking ridiculous that people support her that Obama would win in a landslide. If Ron Paul somehow manages a nomination, he'll be a serious contender against Obama but will probably lose. Mitt Romney will probably get the nomination, and I'll support him maybe if he just stops being pro-life and against same-sex marriage.
I predict that Romney will get the Republican nomination, with Paul at a close second, and Michelle Bachmann will just be up there, making Historians wonder for years to come "How the fuck did she make it this far, what a fucking loon"

The effects of the Horizon hardly made it to Texas. We got like, a dozen tar balls on Galveston. That's about it. That was Louisiana's problem. Also, as long as were on the topic of energy and environment, did you know Texas has the worlds biggest wind farm? Texas also produces 10,085MW of electricity from all it's wind farms. Making it the highest user of wind power in the country. 6,410MW more than Iowa which is in 2nd place. We also have two nuclear power plants which generate 10% of our total electricity with plans to build I think 4 more reactors. Though I think those have been postponed for the time being. Considering the size of this state, we require a lot more energy to run it. Texas could probably run a much smaller state off nuclear and wind alone.
Has Ron Paul had a lot of support prior to the Straw Poll?
The fact he came in 2nd was a huge shock to me. I thought he still had a very marginal support base.
He can't be as bad as Bachmann.
Charlestonian here, I should've dropped by and clowned around at this "RedState gathering" thingy. Oh well.
I think America has had enough of Texas, if you know what I mean.
[sp]Bush[/sp]
Vote Rick Parry.
A for America.
I don't know, I think he might be a likely candidate.
Any conservatives want to weigh in?

I will eat my monitor if Michelle Bachmann wins, and Mitt Romney is possible, but even so, he lost to the man that lost.
As a Texan. I wholeheartedly hate Rick Parry. The only reason he is still elected is because he takes credit for Texas' success economically, when the reality is that Texas will fucking boom with our without a shitty/good governor.

Voting for Bachmann just for Toxx Clause.

okay yeah better example. Wasn't thinking straight when I made that post
I just fucking love how a day after he brought all of those people to the sports arena to pray, A DAY AFTERWARD, the DOW went down 300 points.
As TJ said, the man has no alternative other than to believe that the God he sees is real fucking hates him.
Tbh hes probably a fake christian. Seriously he does a huge pray rally just before throwing his hat in? He probably did that so he could get the Christian right behind him. No other reason behind it. Rick perry will do anything for votes.
hhnnnnngg, I fear this won't end well. Religion and politics should be kept separate as much as possible.
