I like this, just seeing two countries work together and especially with Russia and America's past hatred in the cold war.
Progress is good.
And yet Russia feels the need to sell anti-air systems to the Iranians.
And tanks, and guns, and radar systems, and anti-ship systems, and armored personnel carriers, and fighter jets, and bombers, and air-to-air missiles.
v:v:v
Now all we need is this.
How would an underground bridge NOT be in a tunnel?
Then sir, why have an underground bridge at all?

Wouldn't it just be a tunnel?
Now if we connect up all those little south-eastern islands and Australia, then Madagascar, we could travel to any country in the world without a single boat or plane!

I'm pretty sure an airline ticket is cheaper than the amount you will spend on fuel.

Who said anything about a car?
Walking to everywhere on Earth! Doesn't that sounds awesome?
Fans assisted by the air pressure of the trains themselves.
I assume the line will be electric as it's dumb to run a diesel loco in a tunnel that long.
I'm thinking the will either only allow primary electric or full dual electro-diesel locomotives (diesel will only be used for starting and stopping), or have massive air scrubbers. Full electric locomotives don't have the necessary horsepower to move miles of tons of freight.
So Russia approved the tunnel...what does Alaska have to say about it?
And yet America feels the need to sell anti-air systems to the every anti-RF country, and some anti-US countries too.

Russian solution: Never open a window!
They'll announce it as a fire-retardant system :v:
Russia is obviously trying to take Alaska back after they sold it for a stupidly low price.

"We will invade by building a massive tunnel!"
"But sir, we have ships and planes that can mount an attack?"
*off to gulags*
Train tunnels are soooo last century.
Real men use airplane tunnels and boat tunnels. Why float on the surface when you can float below it? And why not fly in a tunnel that it just asking to be a vacuum!
I wonder if there will be rest stops in the tunnel.
Seafood and vodka vending machines.
Cheeseburgers and heavy spirits
PROGRESS!
Sarah Palin will have something to say about this.

Oh jeez, I didn't even think about her. I can't wait for a reaction. Now she won't have to see Russia from her backyard because they'll be there with her!
They should build a bridge from Saint Petersburg to Stockholm. That'd be useful.
They're going to use it to invade! Oh no!
MW37: We have to nuke that tunnel to cancel that Russian invasion, do it Soap! They can't attack Canada!

My grandfather has a signed letter from the King of Norway thanking him for liberating them from the Nazis before the Soviets could get there.
My grandfather has a signed letter from the King of Norway thanking him for liberating them from the Nazis before the Soviets could get there.
Ok? The king is dead and the Soviet Union has been dissolved.

You know, besides the MW junk of course, some guys in the John Birch Society would definitely subscribe to that.
Oh, you're going to one-up our Channel tunnel, are you? Fine, we'll build one to Peru.
Blowout in Alaska soon, fellow Stalkers.

Diesel-electric locos are electric, just with an onboard generator. Electric locos can be made just as powerful as diesels if not more so. Depends on how they're geared, for high speed passenger, or lower speed freight. Unless I am missing something.
Sounds pretty cool but it would probably take ages
good thing Palin is in Alaska to keep an eye on those russians
