I know a bunch of die hard CoD fanboys that didn't even want ghost (and a bunch that did, but still) Call of Duties time seems to be almost over, I just hope the next over done thing they do doesn't get super over done and only last like 2 years.
CoD declines for the next big thing: PEGGLE 2
Having played both, to be honest BF4 is infinitely less playable, atleast on PS4. Too many game shattering visual bugs and graphical errors, to the point I've given up trying to play on 4 or 5 maps entirely. This last year has completely decimated any interest I had in continuing gaming. Fuck this garbage industry.
Call of Duty is run down. I hope it dies.

The alternate dog skin DLC will save it.
It's good if you just want a typical shooter but honestly you can only buy into Malibu Stacey so many times before you realize all they're doing is giving her a new hat.
I kinda understood that when ads were flooding the tv weeks after it's release
I think it's finally time for Call of Duty to hand over the crown to another game series, it has been pretty overdue. Does anyone remember when everyone played and made a big deal out of Halo?
Honestly I love CoD. It's just a great game to pick up and play a couple rounds to kill some time and can be a blast with friends. But the last two IW games left me very disappointed. I'll defiantly be buying the next treyarch game but i think ghosts was my last chance for IW.
But.. real dog fur! How could THIS flop?
Fun fact, they used the nVidia hair shader for that so it's not even their full creation. According to a friend who did some reverse engineering work the engine was about 89% old and 11% new
I am not surprised, this bubble had to burst sooner or later.
I find the whole role reversal of Infinity Ward and Treyarch in the past few years pretty entertaining.. Treyarch is going to be the one patching the holes in the boat for the short but foreseeable future. This thing is going to sink the question is if it will be soon or sooner.
Welp, seems Activision failed again, now they have to fire all of the employee's who worked on that game, introduced drm in the next CoD game, and if that one's fail, they might place blizzard as the scapegoat and closed down WoW for lack of a greater profit and declining population, cause money comes first then people. /sarcasm
Steam never give out refunds. Only for preorders before they are released. I bought a game that I literally could not play and they wouldn't refund it.
Or if there was miscommunication between the buyer and the seller, I.E. people who bought WarZ or From Dust got refunds. [editline]17th December 2013[/editline] If they asked for them, that is.
What's funny is that sale aren't dropping because of console transition, or because the game is stagnant with no innovation [which is true, but not the reason it isn't selling]. It's not selling because its a decrepit piece of shit of a game. I'm embarrassed for their company every time i think of it being considered a AAA title. It runs like shit, has some of the STUPIDEST design and gameplay choices I've ever seen in a CoD game, the maps are horrendously camper friendly with shit layouts, the pc version HAS NO ANTICHEAT DEVICE PUT IN PLACE, the gameplay is terribly unbalanced, hit detection is god-awful, lag is terrible, no theater mode, has the SHITTIEST spawns in any shooter game ever, and the game is just as ugly as mw3 was. I think most of THAT contributes more to low sales than lack of innovation, or console switching bull-shittery. And what have they attempted to fix so far? Nothing. But here's your free Christmas sweater camo dlc.
Can they make a WWII cod game with the perks system from MW2 or BO2, without the stupid 360 noscope shit now? I miss COD 3 and WaW :c Bring them back :c There is so much awesome stuff they could add there. And fix.

Don't ever expect proper, gritty WWII warfare though, you'd be getting some silly special forces stuff.

You don't need to win the war in every single game. The battle of Normandy would be good enough to have a game itself. Having read "The D-Day" by Anthony Beevor, I know there's a lot of history to be shown (Actually, the first Call of Duty had a lot of recognizable history. One of the gliders actually landed unnoticed around 20 meters from the main bunker when they were to capture a bridge) The book even describes how a soldier got his head cleaved in two by a german Flak 88. They were actually using them to fire at the troops from a relatively close distance. And how another one ran into a house during a artillery fire was raining down. He crouched down under a desk, but ironically enough a splinter from a shell went through the roof, a book on the table, the table itself, and hit the soldier in the head, killing him.
call of duty is so 2009
How many of you here bought Call of Duty Ghost, may it be for console or PC? A lot of my friends who were COD fans end up buying Battlefield 4. Even Battlefield 4 didn't sell as much as Battlefield 3

I'm just waiting for the day they release a Call of Duty game without Call of Duty in the title to try and "change it up"
I wonder what kind of games will come after this Call of Duty era
I betcha Titanfall.
I am the ambassador of hating call of duty and I'm happy to hear this now hopefully games with effort get the highest sales. So much for beating Rockstars's record

I have 53 hours combined gameplay in the last two iterations, as opposed to 525 hours in MW2. I refuse to buy Ghosts, and stopped my roommate from doing the same. If anything, I'd get BF4, but what I'm hearing about it so far has me second guessing that as well.
Wanna bet their idea to make it "fresh" for next year is accessory based gameplay? I can see it now: A dumb looking gun controller(and the game is specifically made to only recognize this type) and a motion controller thats a dog collar. Either that or swap out the dogs altogether for a bomb sniffing cat or something.
I wonder what kind of games will come after this Call of Duty era
MOBAs/aRTS It confuses me too how they got so popular
