I think you've got a bigger issue when it's a fact that kids will apparently stop drinking milk if it isn't smothered with chocolate and sugar.
Wasn't it proven that chocolate milk is just as healthy as regular milk?

that's a load of bull if you're cramming down more sugar

Provides all of the same health benefits with a little added sugar. Still as healthy.
i hate regular milk but I'm alright with flavored milk like chocolate and strawberry
Honestly, I prefer whole milk the most, skim and 1% taste like chalk water. I hate how they're banned in the schools in my state.

Because there's 'too much fat' in it.
Fuck off, Whole Milk is the best milk, and Chocolate Whole Milk is the work of the gods.
You mean water with white food coloring?
Because I'd rather just suffice for 2% or whole milk if that's the case. You may as well be drinking powdered milk with salt if you drink skim milk here.
If someone is obsessed with skim milk they may as well just buy normal milk and dilute it with water. It's cheaper too.
I can't stand normal milk, yet I've been told I seriously need more of it by my doctor. So chocolate milk is perfect.
You don't need milk I don't understand your doctor. Spinach would be a great replacement for calcium for example. Protein too.
Spinach is great for everything actually, it's like a wonder food.
I'm really glad that he vetoed that bill. It would've just made school life much more miserable for everyone.
I mean, honestly, with this new school lunch policy that i had to suffer through for the last 4 years, i'd probably have started a riot if they banned the chocolate milk.
School lunch used to be fucking awesome. Now it's all veggie burgers and pressed sawdust.
Chocolate milk was a decent escape from the bland awfulness that was post '08 school lunch.
I was never a huge fan of chocolate milk. 2% reduced fat all day every day.
2% fat? Is that even milk? 35% fat master race.
The chocolate milk they served at my school was fucking disgusting anyway, I would've never cared if they banned it. I swear it always tasted like it was on the verge of going bad, like they were trying to save money by only getting the milk that was a day or less away from the expiration date.
I always got the 2% skim milk because at least it didn't taste like someone's foot.
I always bought that nesquik stuff and dumped several teaspoons of it in several cups. Cannot stand white milk for some reason.
I can't stand the taste of straight up milk, but I love strawberry milk, and I also enjoy chocolate milk.
However I started drinking vanilla almond milk and I absolutely love it.
You can learn to like anything. If you don't like milk, it's because your parents weren't strict enough and/or they give you the wrong milk. Many types of milk and they do not all taste the same. Some taste very little, some tastes very much. If you don't like milk, it's your own damn fault. Start drinking it and you will like it. I hate people who say they don't like regular normal shit that everyone likes. People are too damn spoiled.

That's a ridiculously stupid way to go about your tastes. I can't stand coconut, tuna, or dark chocolate. The only thing forcing myself to eat those things will do is make me vomit.
That's perfectly normal though, not everyone likes the taste of milk.
Maybe in the West, where everything children eat is doused in sugar. Go visit a tribe in Africa and see how many of the kids bitch about the taste of milk.
strawberry milk is superior anyway

Do you want to like those things?
I used to really hate eggs, but I would frequently attempt to eat eggs and now I only somewhat hate eggs.
I love the taste of milk; I normally get semi-skimmed.
Mind you, I also love the taste of water and potato. I'm the perfect English eater, I love bland food. And marmite.
You can learn to like anything.

they give you the wrong milk.
I'm seeing a contradiction.
chocolate milk is over-rated
Shut up, Satan.
2% Fat Milk is fucking good. Chocolate milk is good too, but Strawberry and Vanilla milk is better, but still rather drink regular milk.
I remember being in elementary school, and only able to have chocolate milk on Fridays.
Had to drink the nasty "normal" milk all week that was pretty much water with a shitty taste, or the orange juice that was usually frozen solid in the container.
at my school they amazingly managed to freeze the orange juice, the milk, the chocolate milk, and the occasional strawberry milk. so what ever you drank, it didn't matter because it wasn't liquid when you got it

The regular consumption of milk is a very European thing. I am not sure that it is common in Africa.
The regular consumption of milk is a very European thing. I am not sure that it is common in Africa.
I was using milk as an example. Picky eaters are a lot less common when you don't have much choice over what you eat.
That's a ridiculously stupid way to go about your tastes. I can't stand coconut, tuna, or dark chocolate. The only thing forcing myself to eat those things will do is make me vomit.
It's just a mental block. It's all in your head. It is very obvious to me that this is something for the modern man. You are used to having a choice and therefor keep away from it. You build up some weird and unnatural "hate" for it and you keep telling your self that it will make you puke and it tastes bad. What happens if you are left in some survival scenario where your only choice of food is coconut, tuna and dark chocolate? You will eat that shit without vomiting and sooner or later you will develop a taste for it.
Your mind is not in control of you. You are in control of your mind. People just accept that "this is how i am and I can't do anything about it."
You can do what ever the fuck you want!
Strawberry and Chocolate milk were the best thing next to those Mexican pizzas.
I honestly think the obesity witch hunt is going too far if you're hunting down chocolate milk.
I'm seeing a contradiction.
You have to want to like it. If you want to learn to like something, you never go for the "strongest", or the one with the most taste. It will take much longer time for most then.
Take coffee. Best way to learn how to like coffee is with the proper ice coffee or cappuchino, mocca, etc. You don't start with black coffee.
Edit:
(Yes you can say chocolate milk is an equivalent to cappuccino in the coffee example, but there is no milk taste in chocolate milk, at least not enough for you to taste it. You do taste coffee in cappuccino tho.)
I'm solely responsible for 75% of the earths consumption of chocolate milk these past two years
Chocolate milk is my shit
At no point does this video mention strength training. It makes sense that in sedentary adults that bone density would not differ substantially with or without calcium supplementation, but regular resistance training would cause the micro fractures that would cause bone to become stronger. I want to see a study consisting of people told to do regular strength training with one group on placebo and the other group supplementing calcium, both with the proper amounts of vitamins d and k.
I will agree that milk is not a magic bullet but it's still a cheap and healthy way to get nutrition. I'm drinking between a quart and a half gallon a day to help gain weight.
I'm not advocating that milk should be dropped from the diet after nursing. I am just pointing out that the effects of it are somewhat exaggerated. But you're absolutely right, doing any type of strengthening without proper calcium intake is not good, and milk (I am sure) saves you there. I go through milk like crazy during the off-season in baseball while I am doing my strength and conditioning.
Never really got to try milk, lactose intolerance, but when I was pretty much forced to drink it in school, since sodas were banned, chocolate whole milk was fucking great. Sucks that the stomach cramps that came after drinking it hurt like fuck, but it was worth it.
