Anonymous declares 'war' on jihadists in retaliation for Paris massacre with #OpCharlieHebdo

This is very badly mistranslated, he says "We will destroy you" not "We will kill you".
I don't think you understand here. These 12 innocent people had so much to live for, people they cared about, people who cared about them, friends, family, everything. And now it's gone because of some fucks who think that their religion is the best. These 12 people will never think, feel, and live again. Their families will never ever see them again. Their lovers will never kiss them again. Their friends will never have fun with them again.
The worse thing yet is, these assholes want to kill more.
Killing the fucks would be small punishment for what damage they caused.
Nice way of putting it overly dramatic, of course you are right. But you don't fight terrorism by killing the fucks. It just aggravates the conflict, of course violent will be needed to fight extremism but in a more disciplined way and not with such vigilante actions.
How doesn't want to see them burn on a stake, I can't blame you. It's just not the wisest course of action.
Yeah ok, I'm sure Al Qaeda or ISIS commanders are currently sat there crying their eyes out after ~Anonymous~ has threatened them.
some stuff (mostly social and website stuff) has been leaked, as usual

if anyone doesn't know already you can go on pastebin -> trending to get info about any op

Twitter links? Leaked?
Can't you find it via search?
At last, a war for the fabled armchair warriors to fight in
sorry dude, I meant to rate you funny. It was an epic fail from my side.
I highly doubt they're going to do anything significant.
I mean whens the last time anyonymous did anything besides hack a website or release a spooky video threat?

depends on who is actually "starting" the operation, if it's a large one many people contribute and things actually happen
I highly doubt they will do anything major. I am certain, however, that they can take down some of those jihad extremist sites and perhaps some of their twitter handles too. And stopping the propaganda that ISIS and other groups akin to it is definitely a good thing
I will never understand why anybody thinks it's a good idea to cheer for a half-assed "vigilante" hacker group that has historically fucked up time and time again, making innocent people targets and generally making a mess of things. Their victories are not outweighed by their lack of responsibility, accountability, and judgment, or by the backlash produced as a result of the failures that their well-intentioned, but ultimately bungling stabs at "justice" actually inspire.
The best case scenario here is that some websites will see DDOS attacks for a little while and a couple of Twitter accounts will be hacked. The end result will most likely be a whole lot of pointless invasion of privacy for innocent Muslims, with several being made public targets based on misconceptions and limited information, and which will ultimately reveal very little intelligence that the public wasn't already aware of, and nothing that the specialists in the government intelligence agencies haven't already discovered. In a worst case scenario, this could actually interfere with ongoing intelligence operations and prevent the people who are specifically trained and appointed to anti-terrorism task forces from exploiting potential weaknesses that the targeted organizations may have.
These schmucks getting involved in anything is a bad idea, but getting involved in this is downright dangerous, and not for hackers making these threats. Assuming these aren't just empty threats, and Anonymous comes out in full force to try and fight terrorism from behind their keyboards, they could be placing lives at risk.
I really can't take anonymous serious anymore after seeing the text 'we are a legion. We are anonymous. Expect us' being used by little kids so often. I wonder if they're going to actually do some things though

If they manage to do anything, it will be bad.
I hope no one innocent gets hurt because of anon's dumb doxxing.
Since to my knowledge I don't think Anonymous made any difference involving Project Chanology, how are they going to make a difference here?
I saw some image of a map linking various countries with "OPCharlieHebdo" on it on one of the twitters I pulled up. I tried to access the image but it was taken down in less than a minute.
I'm almost sure that's how the terrorist groups look at us. We come into their country then we start destroying their cities and kill innocent families.
One example I can think of right now was the time when the officers in syria(I think) shot a missil on and opened fire on a family because they thought the stick the child hold was a weapon.
And by saying that you are actually saying what the terrorist groups are doing is justified. Which is fucked up
You are entirely misinterpreted my point. I never said anything about killing anyone who is just suspected of being one of these fucks. I never said anything about killing just random innocent muslims. I simply said that the fucks responsible for this and those responsible for things like this be held responsible for their actions.
We've tried to forgive people like them before, and they just don't stop.
As far fetched and wildly crazy as it sounds one of these days Anonymous is going to say something like this and then some deranged vigilante is going to act out on it and really cause trouble
"We will track you down - every last one - and will kill you,” the spokesman says. "You allowed yourselves to kill innocent people, we will therefore avenge their deaths."
Not exactly all for that shit, even if it was possible it's just not right. If they really were against them they'd simply report them to the authorities.
aka: lets doxx a load of random brown people
What part of messing with organisations that have no qualms about bombing civilians, taking hostages and planning and executing daylight raids in European capitals seems like a good idea? I mean seriously what is the best case scenario, what can these ill-informed, vigilante "hackers" can achieve that highly trained intelligence agencies cannot?
Are they trusting their "anonymity"? If nothing else can't they realize their actions might make people around them suffer just as much? I really cannot see a single benefit of a loose organisation of unknown people getting involved in a situation that is already messed up beyond belief.

nailed it
their 'hacking' wont get them anywhere
the type of people these terrorists are reply with violence
and these 'anons' put themselves in danger (not to mention countless innocents) by messing around with unstable individuals with no remorse and no second thoughts
LAD Bible is making a big deal out of the fact they took down some site via DDoS for one measly hour :v:

So are they actually going to "hack into" ISIS, or are they just going to doxx and harass random Muslims on Twitter or something
Here come the leaked nudes of Muhammad.

Finally someone with some sense.
What's the worst these script kiddies could do? DDoS their camels? Get their dox and send them pizza with non-halal meats on it?
Anonymous are so fucking childish. Can this pos group just disband soon? They're all just a bunch of kids with superiority complex anyway. Vigilantism is bad, even when it comes from fat teenagers.
