I don't live in the farm part of Saskatchewan so the redneck excuse doesn't work unfortunately
I'm sorry, as a city boy I assume anyone from Alberta/Saskatchewan is a farmer.
Give me that teacher's and principal's address. I got some angry letters to write.
I wish I could've gone to your school when I was going to high school. Fuck man. A kid in my class got ISS for sneezing during a moment of silence. I swear. It's like some sort of regime.
That's some North Korea level class tyranny.
suspension means jack shit it means literally nothing
Actually suspension is big. Remember that going by standard suspension rules you cannot retake any kind of test, homework or anything else that happens during the period. So you can loose fairly important grades very easily.
Am I the only FPer who though high school was the absolute shit, and had an absolutely fantastic and fun 4 years? I mean, yeah, there were some problems at many points, but they were due to my own mistakes in and out of school and didn't keep me from overall having a blast with it, especially my senior year.
You got pretty lucky then. I tried to keep to myself throughout all of my high school years since the small school I was sent to didn't really have anyone who had similar interests as I did. Despite this I was constantly bullied and harassed, and the most frustrating part of that is when schools punish you for being the victim. School systems are so fucked right now. After a few cases were I reported some of the fucked up things that was done to me (ever have salt blown in your eye while the whole room laughs? It's not fun) and 'I' would be punished along with the offenders. I didn't fucking ask to be a victim. Shit like this just makes people like me just keep quiet about it to everyone (can't talk to your parents about it because they'll tell the school board and you get in trouble for being a victim again) and it just festers into this serious mental problem. High school is fairly close to a prison system. A bunch of teenagers with no regards to the consequences of what they say or do all bunched in together with little to no real discipline. I've had to listen to my girlfriend tell me that the best friend she had over the summer a few years ago, who would have a new guy with her about every week, had one of her boytoys to tell her to kill herself a day or so after she had almost actually fucking done it, and her "friend" just laughed in her face at this "joke." It's fucking disgusting what this generation is becoming. And the current school system is basically a cesspool of pure shit. Edit: I kind of went on a rant there, sorry about that. Apparently I have more pent of issues than I realized. But of course I've been taught my whole life that if I open up about it I get punished, so fuck it. :v:
Im gonna have to agree with this. sure, i didn't learn a fucking thing (which is what would've happened if i'd have gone to a nazi school anyway) but damn did I have fun, and so did everyone else. Only a couple fights a year, no one hated each other (I never, ever saw bullying nor was I ever bullied.) Thinking back on it, I had a blast in school. Shame I didn't come out of my social shell until 3 years afterwards... so yeah, School for me was pretty fun. Shame it never taught me any useful life skills but damn do I know 293 different math formulas and what fucking shakespeare did on his days off!
Dude I know exactly what you are talking about my entire senior class would go to parties and have get togethers. the only people that hated eachother were the ones that were really into the pop scene and wanted to be just like city kids (shitty kids). I can only remember a couple fights and they were over things like some asshole bullying a kid and the football players beat the shit out of them. Twas a better time indeed.
