okay at this point he knows and he's seeing what he can do before his voters catch on
like after these rallies he goes backstage and laughs his ass off
the amount of people getting FRIGHTENED over some hands lmfao
You don't understand the sky will fall if Trump wins the election!
This oath seems more like noises like he is going to spoil the election for republicans because the GOP has been doing stupid shit and acting extremely booty blasted that their candidates are getting blown out of the water by a guy that isn't even trying and has zero political experience.
Because no other culture raises their right hands to swear right? Totally the Nazi salute! God forbid you guys ever spend an hour in an American court room, I guess the defendant and the plaintiff are both Nazis.
Also, for those who didn't watch the rally, this article is being pretty dishonest about the "bad things will happen" remark. After he said that, Donald made it clear that this line was a joke. Go watch it yourself.

Mixed with the words that actually come out of his mouth, it paints a much more believable comparison
No personal oaths or salutes for me.

Swear fealty to King Trump. He will require you to raise a levy of 400 soldiers for his next war against the Spanish.
I swear the amount of people on this forum who are so reactionary that they get frightened by things that don't align with their worldview is hilarious. I don't support trump but trembling in your boots and falling to Godwin's law puts on a fucking hilarious show
Wow, I'm so offended. Asking people to vote no matter what happens is outrageous, only the Nazis asked people to vote. And asking people to vote for Trump at a Trump rally, holy shit this guy is literally Hitler. I am far beyond triggered.

I finally get you now. You've gone in too deep, and are worried that bad things might happen if you try to back out.
My condolences.

Yes you're definitely a far more sensible poster as we can tell

There is a difference between asking people to vote and making them swear an oath to vote.

Yeah he is actually, but that's not a hard standard to beat.
But no one was forced to do anything
He never said they were.
He never said they were.
'making them'
If that's not what he meant than it was worded in a fashion that makes the second option far more sinister sounding. This is no worse than a candidate calling and saying 'I trust we can expect your vote on election day?'

Back out of what? Being supporting Trump? He's doing pretty damn good and I haven't even voted for him yet, I get to do that on Tuesday. Why would I back out of voting for the Republican that I totally agree with who also happens to be winning?

No one holds a gun to your head at these rallys making you do anything, I was at one.

I never said the word force, but asking people to swear and oath and then implying that there will be consequences if they don't is kind of weird, no matter how you look at it.
"Bad things happen if you don't live up to what you just did," Trump said before continuing with his speech.
Like Swiket said:
Lol he sounds like a crime boss that's giving you a vague threat.
That's not an unreasonable way to choose to interpret things either considering his supporters have been aggressive at rallies in the past against protesters and dissenters. Whether or not this was his intention, it's not hard to see how some people could interpret it that way.
There was never once a threat against people who refused to swear. It was specifically directed towards those who -did- but then fail to follow through. While that's a strange thing to threaten over, anyone who actually considers it anything more than ribbing just has no understanding of how to read people's intentions

You literally just said he made them. Asking people to vote no matter what is not weird, it's a great thing. Of course he's going to ask them vote for him at HIS rally.
You people are grasping at straws, had this occurred at any other candidates' rally no one would raise an eyebrow.

Why do people attack Trump with the dumbest shit? Asking people to raise their hands in a pledge to vote and comparing that to the Nazis is retarded. Honestly it just makes me like the guy more when most of the arguments against him are meaningless shit like this.
You people are grasping at straws, had this occurred at any other candidates' rally no one would raise an eyebrow.
I find that incredibly hard to believe.
I find that incredibly hard to believe.
Does the concept of the president swearing his inauguration over a Bible offend you
How's about the pledge of allegiance

I'm responding to your insinuation that what Trump did being done at another candidate's rally wouldn't cause a stir. I don't see anything in your post that I quoted about the pledge of allegiance.
You people are grasping at straws, had this occurred at any other candidates' rally no one would raise an eyebrow.
that is absolutely not true. and regardless of that, it wouldnt have happened at any other rallies. its weird how everything related to trump is written off as "oh if anyone else said/did it, nobody would care." but the fact is, no other candidates are doing things like this???

You can't pretend to know that, my assumption is way more plausible. If any other candidate asked for a pledge you know the people attending would. So let me guess, you just think the fact Trump asked for a physical show of confidence is somehow of note and totally newsworthy. This is grasping at straws.
