That's not the guy. This was proven about 2 hours ago. That's just another guy with the same name, lives somewhere completely different At least that's what I've read
Link?
How about just consider donating a percentage of the profit toward the families or a charity of the families choice?
I agree with this. I also think that cancelling all showings of it is like putting the blame on the film or Christopher Nolan himself. Someone else killed those people, not the movie.
This whole thing wouldn't have happened if gun ownership was abolished in America. How many shootings will it take for them to realise?
Yeah but then you gotta ask yourself: how many of these shootings are with a LEGIT firearm?
Wow, are you guys really complaining that much? It's for the time being, not forever. At least they're being respectful and not caring about how much profits they make.
Other sources are stating that they are just pulling this weekend's showings, not all of them. Don't know who to believe though.
If they do this then they will piss off a lot of movie goers. You're going to have a lot of people who just flat out don't care about the shooting and who just want to see batman. Then you'll have those who pre-ordered tickets to the movie who will have to reschedule their viewing and those numbers will easily be in the thousands which would be a massive headache for cinemas. It's just really not viable to do things this way. Again, donating a portion of the ticket price would be the best way to go about it. The people who genuinely care can know that some of their money is going to a good cause and then the people who don't can see batman.

How many meth babies will it take for them to realise? (User was banned for this post ("Flaming" - Asaratha))
thats the opposite of theatre, the show must go on.
Wow, are you guys really complaining that much? It's for the time being, not forever. PR stunt out of the book
They could also be closing this incase of a copy-cat killer. You know what people or like, it could actually (unlikely) be a terrorist attack.
This whole thing wouldn't have happened if gun ownership was abolished in America. Abolishing gun ownership will just make it easier for the criminals to get away with what they do since nobody will be able to defend themselves.
fuck that i wanna see this shit, why would they cancel it even in the UK where no one got shot. I was gonna see dark knight rises on tuesday...
Really... Heath Ledger dies they don't stop that for a week or so out of respect but one guy goes on a rampage and ruins it for us all? seriously, more people in africa die than what happened there.... they don't stop holidays to africa. fuck if they do i swear i'll go to my cinema and do the same.
africa is africa. america is not africa and if you will try to do that, i will break your fucking neck and slay your parents for not parenting an idiotic kid.
africa is africa. america is not africa and if you will try to do that, i will break your fucking neck and slay your parents for not parenting an idiotic kid.
America is not england so why should I suffer because of their shitty laws?

People die there every other day from shootings and if guns were abolished and fought against like drugs there would be none.
Doesn't Switzerland have a higher rate of gun related suicide though?
well yeah they're swiss
They aren't doing it in respect to the shooting. They are doing it to appear sensitive and responsible for their public image and to also let the whole thing blow over a bit enough for their movie not to be associated with it as much.
They are already removing all TV advertising for the movie.
Feel free to look at gun crime in the rest of the world compared to America. Pick a better analogy.

If that happens, my brother will probably go crazy. He's been waiting for that movie for so long... It's like the Episode 3 is going to be released next week and suddenly there's a delay.
This seems silly to me, don't get me wrong it was tragic but there are much better ways to go about this
This whole thing wouldn't have happened if gun ownership was abolished in America. How many shootings will it take for them to realise?
About as long as it take you to realize how shitty this post is
It's more damage control for the movie release than respect. I doubt the families will care whether or not theaters across the world keep playing it, it's not as if the shooter was screaming "I AM THE BATMAN", for all we know it could have easily happened during any other movie.
I just found out about this. That guy is clearly fucked in the head. A witness describes him as not saying anything at all, and he was dressed in all black before he threw two tear gas grenades.
Are they sacrificing their potential opening weekend? Or are they going to reschedule it?
