Shes a bitch, but it's a little extreme and a waste of money.
I can sort of see where he's coming from, but I think he might have acted just a little bit impulsively. I think what he really needs to do is sit down and have a talk with her.
IF you watched and listen too the whole video he said he already tried. Talking can only do so much before you actually got to make a point. Actions speak louder then words.
I don't understand what's so awesome about this guy, I mean I don't disagree with his general opinion or anything, but all he did was shoot an inanimate object because he was pissed off with his daughter
that general opinion that you don't disagree with is something that many of today's parents lack.
If i could make up for the all the times I'd been disrespectful to my parent's, complaining they made me do too much and such, when I was younger, I'd grab that chance by the throat and use it. I'm fairly ashamed of some of the ways I acted as a young teen.
Sorry, he was trying to make a point to his daughter, not entertain the populace at large like yourself :v:
oh sure, that's why he put it on youtube then, not just showed it to his daughter
Respect has to be earned. If the child doesn't like something she should be allowed to SAY it. It's called free speech.
with cussing and insulting her parents in some shitty ways? don't think so
oh sure, that's why he put it on youtube then, not just showed it to his daughter
He put it on youtube in order to put it on his daughter's Facebook, the place where all this began.
(see latter posts)
This is actually really good parenting.
yeah, destroying your daughters property and publicly humiliating her is INCREDIBLE parenting. What else is good parenting? Locking your child in a closet for a week?
why would he do that other than to entertain people on facebook? it's not like her daughter has a computer to get on facebook now
1) He states why in the video, so go watch it. 2) She has access to school computers. [editline]10th February 2012[/editline]
yeah, destroying your daughters property and publicly humiliating her is INCREDIBLE parenting. What else is good parenting? Locking your child in a closet for a week?
Wasn't her property.
She sounds like one of these people
God dammit, I don't know any of those people or what their stories are, but I just wanna twist the head off of every single god-damn one of them.
with cussing and insulting her parents in some shitty ways? don't think so
uhh, no, no where does it say cursing and insults aren't covered in free speech. Get over yourself and learn what you're talking about. [editline]10th February 2012[/editline]
Wasn't her property.
Yes it was, even if he bought it for her, it was given to her, it is her property.
Yes it was, even if he bought it for her, it was given to her, it is her property.
Erm no, it's his property that he allowed her to use, in no way was it legally her property. [editline]10th February 2012[/editline]
uhh, no, no where does it say cursing and insults aren't covered in free speech. Get over yourself and learn what you're talking about.
Free speech doesn't cover parents.
Do you know the meaning of the term "respect"?
Respect is earned. [editline]10th February 2012[/editline] Just because someone is a biological parent doesn't mean you have to respect them. You shouldn't have to respect your father if he gets drunk as shit and beats your mother to a pulp every night.
1) He states why in the video, so go watch it. 2) She has access to school computers.
... he states that he wants to show people on facebook so that people will lay into his daughter, y'know, entertainment yeah nice one, that's totally not exactly what I fuckin said
What the hell would a homeless guy do with a laptop?
Sell it for money? Apply for a job?
sigh, I hate it when I make a flippant remark about some trivial bullshit like "it could have been more exciting" and people take it seriously and then I take it seriously. sorry Scorpious, I didn't mean to get all sarky
yeah, destroying your daughters property and publicly humiliating her is INCREDIBLE parenting. What else is good parenting? Locking your child in a closet for a week?
yeah sure let's compare making a point on a public medium for other parents to learn how to actually properly discipline their children to IMPRISONING A CHILD IN A CLOSET n1 a+ rad input dude
... he states that he wants to show people on facebook so that people will lay into his daughter, y'know, entertainment yeah nice one, that's totally not exactly what I fuckin said
You have no idea what the definition of entertainment is.
My father once smashed our Gameboy on the floor because me and my sister wouldn't shut up about who gets to play with it next :v: He fixed it after we recounselled.
You have no idea what the definition of entertainment is.
http://www.thefreedictionary.com/entertainment
3. Something that amuses, pleases, or diverts, especially a performance or show.
he put on a show and this thread is 4 pages of people being amused and pleased by it e. I'm not saying he was just doing it for the shits, I'm saying it had a secondary purpose of entertainment
The video in question.
Bloody hell, the cleaning lady was the step-mom? jesus, she shouldn't have said that, but this was blown way out-of-proportion.
How can anyone applaud this cunt? She DARED to say something negative about her family and use her free speech rights and her property is DESTROYED? How is this "good parenting"? Good parents don't be immature and destroy people's property for daring to disagree with them. Good parents don't destroy their child's school lives for spreading their opinions. Good parents DON'T DO THIS.
You sound like those girls in my school who complain about the right to free speech and 'favouritism' whenever they're told to shut the fuck up and get on with their work
I think this could either lead to an improvement in her life, or it could end up making her resent the Father even more. I don't know their backgrounds, so it's hard to make a good opinion. It seems to me that the Father makes irrational decisions just to "prove" things. I don't understand why she's expected to get a job while in School.
It seems to me that the Father makes irrational decisions just to "prove" things. I don't understand why she's expected to get a job while in School.
where I come from you're expected to have a job by 15-17 [editline]1[/editline] to clarify: I'm talking about oklahoma
where I come from you're expected to have a job by 15-17
Jesus, really? Over here, You're supposed to get a job around 20-years-old and if you're not on college or school.
haha I would've loved it if he said "A final message on your Facebook" and typed "Goodbye." Before he shot it.
She sounds like one of these people

[img_thumb]http://home.comcast.net/~gn0me/random/waaa.png[/img_thumb]
First world problems at it's finest.
where I come from you're expected to have a job by 15-17 [editline]1[/editline] to clarify: I'm talking about oklahoma
Sadly, that's not a commodity everywhere. Where I live, there are plenty of jobs for 15-17 year old kids, but then again... there are THOUSANDS of 15-17 year old kids competing for the same ~100 jobs. Getting a job used to be easier back in the day, but now it's getting difficult. And I'm just saying this because it worked for me when I was a teen, but if you give a child money for doing chores, they'll be more motivated to do chores. They do hard work, they get some compensation, it only makes sense.
Do you know the meaning of the term "respect"?
I doubt she will learn what respect is by responding with actions as illogical and childish as her. It is no wonder this guy's daughter is misbehaved...
