Missed it. Great advertising SyFy, it wouldn't have killed you to throw TV spots for it on other channels.
Have You Ever Seen The Rain. Was the best theme for the final episode.
god damn this has gone on too long. rate me dumb and disagree.
Wow the first episode rocked my ass so hard... It's great Also, I want to know, Is there still living Asgards ? in other galaxies ?
Notice how most of the cast is in their early twenties?
I watched the first episode last night. The similarities are startling. Also, where's the Stargate music? The music that was played was more like Battlestar Galactica's than anything else.

I just hope they run into some aliens at some point, or hell even some ancient civilization would be nice. [editline]09:34AM[/editline]
I watched the first episode last night. Wait for next episode to see how it starts off..
I'm eager to see what their main enemy will be, currently it looks like it's themselves. It's amazing that they're really far away from the milky way

It's in the episode Unending in SG-1....
They home world is in another galaxy :downs: They evacuated their planet in the Ida galaxy due to the replicators taking over their entire galaxy, it's why they are one of the 5 races in the milky way instead of their own. So the planet that they destroyed was their own planet in the milky-way that doesn't mean that their was a faction that split-off and went somewhere else to live when they left ida or even when they made it to the milky way there's nothing that says there wasn't some that got separated and started their own colony or someshit. Go fucking learn your shit before posting you immature little son of a bitch. (User was banned for this post ("Flaming" - compwhizii))
Why don't you grow some fucking balls and a brain and learn to be more polite. SO FUCK YOU YOU SHIT BALLS, and learn to HELP people instead of say shit. Ok there wasnt anything that said that, so I agree that there may have been, but wouldnt they suffer teh same deevolution that the MAIN Asgards did? Or would they die off because they didnt want it. The Asgards are dead anyways, either slowly or quickly like Thor's people. (User was banned for this post ("Flaming, chill out" - compwhizii))

Stop being a closed minded fuck and start thinking, and telling people "SO FUCK YOU SHIT BALLS" isn't any fucking way to get help, nor is using all caps a good way to get a good fucking response from people. Grow up. Edit: Actually, there is at least one split from the main and they where in atlantis http://stargate.wikia.com/wiki/Vanir [editline]01:28PM[/editline]
Missed it. I'm watching the first episode on hulu right now. It's like they had a whole bucket full of Battlestar Galactica and sprinkled some Stargate on top. That's not a bad thing by any means, I'm actually really digging it.
It is if you didn't like Battlestar Galactica :sigh:
Well, people do have different tastes in shows, I guess.
It is if you didn't like Battlestar Galactica :sigh:
who really knows how this will turn it, it might be like this for the first 5 or so episodes, then it might slowly start getting back into the stargateish feel. I mean really, it starts out all drama like only due to the fact they weren't prepared for this scenario in the slightest of course it's not gonna have the general stargate feel where they have things prepared or access to things to quickly help them out, after they start working on things it should turn less Battlestar and more stargate. They have unlimited potential with this show, and with those communication stones they have, they may very well have regular check-ins with earth or even perhaps Atlantis which would also bring the more stargateish feel back into it.
well that sounds like alot of action?
well alot of the information is still missing on that page, so they might somehow reestablish a connection with earth by earth using all of the energy in the US Powergrid (like in that one episode when carter gets transported to another dimension) and that might lead to other issues that happen.
It is if you didn't like Battlestar Galactica :sigh:
BSG had one thing going for it and that was the atmosphere and overall look of the show. The miniseries, Season 1, 2, and the beginning of 3 were the only good seasons of the show, everything else was fucking garbage. Not to the mention that it has the most unlikable characters in television.
Everytime I see him I think Hilter.
Oooh I get it. Because he played Hitler one time. He can only be Hitler! Ha ha ha. Hitler in space! Wait shit no- Hitler in Stargate!
I jsut watched the pilot, it was good, I liked it better than SG1, but that was probably because I was watching SG1 on streaming sites that were slower than a retarded snail. [editline]01:52AM[/editline]
BSG had one thing going for it and that was the atmosphere and overall look of the show. The characters started to grate towards the end of the show, sure, but I respected them enough to not google image search them with their clothes off. For about 5 minutes. The only other ba thing was that six's relationship with Gaius was a little embarrassing, with there being a tad too much sex for me. The whole series was a little oversexualised, but nothing that degraded the quality of the show. Starbuck was a cunt though, and her alcoholism wasn't really believable.
Needs more gifs of people getting pushed out from the stargate. Man, that was epic. lol. Though people at /tv/ are hating on it. Not that I care.
I liked it, I don't see why loads of people are complaining that it's so close to BSG though. Sure it had some shaky cam, it's darker than the other series and had a sex scene etc, but if anything this is just the direction Sci-Fi is going in. It used to be that large monsters and flying saucers enticed the audience, then large box shaped robots that acted like Humans, then pristine visions of the future with uniforms and now it's going darker and more in line with the modern world rather than trying to look too Sci-Fi. Of course there are exceptions, but it makes little sense to try something different/risky given the enormous success of BSG, the same can be said for any industry. I thought the premise was pretty good, though on other forums it seems 90% of fans are complaining because it's not a carbon copy of the other series, but they'd probably complain about any change so who cares. I can't wait for more :), there's too little good Sci-FI on these days, or at least Sci-Fi that doesn't continually get cancelled after the airing of a few eps due to the network's poor advertising.
I don't really care for the direction of Sci-Fi, I prefer the older "adventure a day" format where it's general more upbeat and about exploring interesting ideas and worlds over the darker, plot-driven shows. In other words, Lost in Space > :lost: in space.
