Captain Planet will be summoned after Heart. :p And the episode names are just simple, explaining what's going on. They needed fucking air/water for 1- 2-3 episodes. OMG.
I guess they would of run out of ideas after SG-1. Guess they are just quickly writing the episode names, so they can complete season 1 for another sg-1 movie. Or Sg-Atlantis movie.
Do I care about the characters, themselves?. Maybe. Do you care? Properly not. Though, it's all too dramatic. Eli is obviously Mckay in disguise as a kid. Could this kid destroy your solar system?
I don't know when they are going to get into real situations with alien life, but season 1 is just a beginning, obviously detailed. If they get Destiny under control, and working, they can contact Earth somehow, after they found a new enemy, or some shit. I don't know.
