I don't need approval ratings, i get all the votes anyway
Thing is, is it JUST Obama not playing as well as he should, or is it all the bullshit cockblocking filibusters standing in the way and stupid people don't pay attention to the filibusters? If it's the latter, then that's totally unfair.

That's why they call it a revolution.

There are plenty of bones to pick with Obama's administration itself but Congress during his presidency has been incredibly obstructionist.

Yeah; he's not exactly played his cards right, but what I wanna know is if the fault is mostly his or mostly the fault of Cuntgress. D'you think he needs to be more assertive and neuter that rowdy pack of wolves that's been snapping at the sheep?

You're so edgy Maribel Vinson Owen would have put you on her feet and done a triple axel.
I'd like to remind every that when you're voting for the lesser of two evils, you're still voting for evil.
I'd like to remind every that when you're voting for the lesser of two evils, you're still voting for evil.
And at the end of the day, one is still better than the other.
And at the end of the day, one is still better than the other.
At the end of the day you're still essentialy giving your "approval" to evil.
My point is that people who say "I don't like either candidate but I'm voting for republican/democrat because the other is worse" are fucking stupid.
The Republican Bill was forced to pass as Obamacare because of Obama's campaign promised healthcare reform. What else could the President do but sign it? Simply give up on Healthcare Reform? Imagine how terrible that would have looked for him.
I disagree on that statement. He shouldn't have signed something in that he knew was a piece of shit just to protect his image, it's irresponsible.

I truly doubt these people are evil.

The guy couldn't buy votes with his ideology. He wanted to cut the military so he lost the conservatives and he wanted to cut social spending so he lost the progressives and moderates.
He also kind of flip flops on alot of social issues.

I was being sarcastic.
This is the sad thing about Obama; I like the man but somehow I have the feeling the people around him are just bashing him around and making sure he can't get anything done.

I actually think he'd fit in on facepunch. If you look at old interviews from when he was a senator or really examine the claims of him being arrogant or aloof you realize he's just a reserved, slightly awkward guy.

At the time, he thought that it is at least something. Better than the previous system. I don't think he realized how much was going to go wrong with it.
Anyway, I think things will normalize in a few months, and it will be a slightly less bad system than before.

Someone WILL get elected, its hilariously outrageous to expect no one in the country to vote in an election. So you play it smart, and vote for the one that is at least better even if he isn't absolutely perfect.
Your posts reek of Middle Road fallacy.

Third parties don't exist.

Yes they do. :l

You're boiling a very nuanced topic about media and politics in the United States into a party vs party debate. Until sweeping voting reform passes as well as third parties becoming more accepted and given a platform to stand on as equal as the two big parties, you are going to see people voting for the party they disagree with less than the party they disagree with more. It's pretty logical and entirely reasonable to vote for the candidate that you agree with on 50% of the issues more than you do the one that you agree with on 90% of the issues while lamenting about the fact that the guy you agree with on almost everything has a snowballs chance in hell of winning because of various influences that are deeper than party partisanship.
Third parties don't exist.
They do exist, I personally voted third party in the 2012 election, but let's not kid ourselves here. People vote for the Green Party generally as a stronger version of the Democratic platform (that is to say, they might actually adhere to it in more than name only), or for the Libertarian Party because they don't like drug prohibition or war (though I don't think many in politics 'like' war, and no single president can dismantle the military-industrial complex anyway) but still want to gut social programmes.
Those two aren't really in the middle of anything, but Democrats and Republicans are not opposite extremes in the first place. If you have a number line, from 1 to 10, with 10 being the most right-wing and 1 being the most left-wing, then Republicans may be a 8 or 9 but Democrats a 5 or 6. It's a simplification but but the idea is the same.

Pretty much this. As a flat out socialist, there really isn't anyone the represents me within the US government because that word alone basically shuts down bills.

It's called tactical voting, because a third party candidate is unlikely.
weird, why did Weekly Shounen Jump have a presidential popularity poll
ill see myself out
Now all the republicans need to do is stop being totally retarded all the time and they could win the next election!
Vote me as president, I promise not to invade Canada*

My biggest beef is that he's just outright lying to people, not just stretching the truth like most politicians. He's still defending his statement about people being able to keep their insurance if they like it when he knew from the beginning that it was a lie and the fact is that it probably wouldn't have passed without that lie.
