thnx i did so much research.
I wonder what Stephen King voted.
That's such a terrible statement. I bet you if you told that to a biology major, they'd laugh at you.
everyone laughs at you though, so i guess it evens out
How dare you compare the struggle of my race globally to the struggle of your kin. We are not the same. Slavery is not marriage you bigots.
Are we nothing more to you than tools of discussion? To promote your political agenda?
Racial and Homosexual violence have been on par for the past 100 years. Slavery is done with for the most part, it's really not part of the equation any longer. We've moved past that point and we're trying to get everyone to be equal here. By comparing in such a brutish manner you're actually being counterproductive.
"Well you think what you're going through now is bad? My ancestors went through way worse shit!"
That's like saying "You're whining about 3000 people dying at 9/11? Hundreds of thousands died during the crusades." It's disgusting to weigh human rights like that.
A human rights violation is a human rights violation. And regardless, while blacks were forced into slavery and treated brutally, homosexuals were simply killed. Have you ever witnessed religious violence? Not just violence against gays - I'm talking violence between Protestants and Catholics. Religious violence is more brutal than any - any racial violence. So I'd say both groups are about on par with their "struggles".
In the modern era homosexuals are luckier than blacks because unlike blacks they can hide their characteristics that they're persecuted for. You win on that part.
Clearly Christians can't possibly accept letting gays marry.
Do you realize that there are people that don't affiliate themselves with Christianity, but do find homosexuality to be indecent, deviant, and unnatural?
The decisions have been made in California, now Maine.
A national consensus seems to be forming.

What is this argument proving?
They're animals, for crying out loud!
Oh for Christ's sake.
Heh.
Anyway, what the hell? It's a civil right, not a new taxation scheme or anything. Ugh.

It was in response to "Homosexuality goes against natural selection, therefore it must be some modern entity that's influencing homosexuality."
If it's in animals, clearly it still persists in nature.
Additionally, we're also animals.
Do you realize that there are people that don't affiliate themselves with Christianity
It's pretty rare

But it's not.

That America is backwards.

Yes, as the hunter can tell you, animals are very intelligent. They would surely know what they are doing.
Clearly Christians can't possibly accept letting gays marry.
your avatar creep me out :ohdear:
The only reason Yes on 1 won was because of fucking fear tactics. People in this state are too easily swayed by the church.
Lol Facepunch can't handle that people don't agree with them.
the act of homosexuality is adultry
It's not that we don't agree with them, it's that their opinions are stupid.
It's not that we don't agree with them, it's that their opinions are stupid.
Maybe your opinions are stupid.
I'll post if I want Trotsky.

Man, don't get so down on yourself.
I guess you're saying that homosexuals have the emotional and sexual inhibition of animals?

I don't take the civil liberties away from people because of a tired old book.
i really wish people would be civil about this and not withhold the peoples' inalienable rights. I find it so sad that we're still having to deal with this shit. If you don't believe homosexuality is right for you then don't be gay.

You know, there are plenty atheists that don't support gay marriage, blaming it on a religion is just ignorant.
You know, there are plenty atheists that don't support gay marriage, blaming it on a religion is just ignorant.
And it's ignorant to say religion didn't have a big part in this.

Yes, homosexuals have the emotional and sexual inhibition of other people and by definition we are animals.
At any rate, I don't see any reason to inhibit my libido any more than I already do.
Please hear this out!
There was a reason Brown VS Board of Education wasn't "Proposition 118"
This is what happens when we let people vote on civil rights.
Anyways this is my argument against this:
1) Our constitution gives us Freedom of Religious Expression
- This also implies Freedom FROM Religion (No prayer in schools, no Creationism etc)
2) The only reason against gay marriage that is valid is on religious grounds
- There are a few sketchy claims about gays being worse parents but that's irrelevant since unmarried gays can still adopt children.
3) Therefore, it is UNCONSTITUTIONAL to discriminate on people based on religious grounds.
FUCKING BULLSHIT MAINE.
That is fucking pathetic. Just looking at all those little shits cheering and acting like they won something makes me want to punch every one of those assholes. Bunch of arrogant tools.
How could such blatant bigotry still have that large of an impact on shit in modern times.
Also, this is relevant

At least I can provide proof of the exact opposite.

The will of the minority shall never be forced upon the majority.
In short, everything happened like it was supposed to.
But the people who voted to repeal are idiots.
[editline]04:44AM[/editline]
Also, please stop blaming religion. I fully support gay marrige and gay rights. I'm a Christian as well, so just know that only the idiots voted to repeal.
