I was wondering what the results were for this. [sp]To be perfectly honest, I would have voted yes.[/sp]
I was wondering what the results were for this. [sp]To be perfectly honest, I would have voted yes.[/sp]
Mind me asking why?
Now we just need to get them to surrender our rainbow back. I don't want to think about them whenever I pour a box of Lucky Charms!
Mind me asking why?
Would homophobia be a good answer? Seriously, unless you are gay, this shouldn't effect you.
Mind me asking why?
The man has his own reasons and his own morals. Do you have a problem with that?
It's interesting how the people who got gay marriage repealed are being all positive, with picket signs with the big word 'YES' on them and having mottos like 'defending marriage' When really they're being negative pricks.
that's it, let's burn this goddamned country to the ground
Would homophobia be a good answer?
no. Homophobes are idiots
The man has his own reasons and his own morals. Do you have a problem with that?
When those morals concern restricting the rights of consenting, loving adults to marry each other then yes.
I.. really still can't stand people that are against gay marriage. I mean its there own fucking choice... gtfo of their lifes
jesus christ would it really hurt that much to let gay people marry? it wouldn't have any impact on your life whatsoever let them live their lives oh fuck ninjas
Letting gays merry is illogical. In my opinion the whole point of marriage is for there to be a solid structure to raise children. What's missing in the picture? Well the reproducing part and the children part. Which can be overcome by adoption, but that leads the children being made fun of and having to be a social outcast for their school career.
Letting gays merry is illogical. In my opinion
Bit of a contradiction right there.
What a bunch of faggots. I'm referring, of course, to the christian voters of the state of Maine, not the homosexuals.
Bit of a contradiction right there.
Except when it's separated by a period and that the two sentences have nothing to do with each other.
Which can be overcome by adoption, but that leads the children being made fun of and having to be a social outcast for their school career.
ok, so it's better for a child to live in an orphanage for their entire childhood than there be the slight possibility of them being made fun of in school you heard it here first folks

What? Being adopted does not make you a outcast, that's just stupid.
Except when it's separated by a period and that the two sentences have nothing to do with each other.
Uh, no. You are using admitted opinion as a logical argument. That's not how it works. That's like saying, "Liking blue better than orange is illogical because in my opinion, red is the best color and orange is closer to red." The evidence to your argument is opinion. It's only illogical if everyone excepts your opinion as true.

I wasn't impressed when I heard about this, and not that it really matters that much but I live in Maine. I can't see how anyone thinks allowing gay marriage ruins the "sanctity" of something that results in divorce almost a third of the time, and that started more as a contract than anything else. It isn't protecting families or going to ruin our schools by being taught in them, that's bullshit. Marriage period isn't taught as it is. I heard some guy the "Yes on 1" campaign hired on the news this morning saying it wasn't about anyone being against gays or some similar load of crap. The human race is at a point where reproduction is irrelevant, if anything we're overpopulated, and a group of people who wouldn't reproduce anyway being legally recognized as "together" won't change anything.

Kind of stupid to take a vote on it, especially since gays are like the new blacks. It's like having a vote to end segregation in the 1850's.
http://vimeo.com/7204362 Oh noes, children asking questions. They must be possessed by the devil. Also, that sounds faked. You can hear where they cut the audio..
In a few years every state will allow it, and a few years after that we'll move onto stuff like furries and people marrying fictional characters.

This is pretty simple. State recognises "unions" Church recognises what it wants to recognise between whatever genders it wants.
Notice not 1 non-white person in this photo.
the majority of blacks in california also voted yes on prop 8 so what exactly is your point race has nothing to do with this shit don't try to bring it in it's the culture
I'd rather they just abolish marriage altogether, both straight and gay. I'm a homo, but even I realize that marriage does nothing but ruin lives.
