It doesn't relate to this.
What
Maybe he's talking about the other 8th amendment.
It doesn't relate to this.
That's why I said it's the only thing I could possibly see as having any relation to this, I never said it did.
Yeah man, all the Jews should have just lined up and hopped in the ovens and gas chambers, and nobody should have raised a finger against Nazi Germany. Why the hell do people have to protest and complain, geez!
How the hell did you interpret this from what I said?
What
Huh Im thinking of the wrong admendment... It may be the 9th. But I know one states's you have the right to live life the way you want too.
Damn, why do gay people bitch about this sort of stuf? If they want to get married they should go to fucking canada, that way this shit doesn't have to happen again and again and again and again.....
Maine does not honor two gay people as capable of being 'married'. Those people would have to stay in Canada if they wanted their relationship recognized.
amendment 9. "Amendment 9: Unlisted rights are not necessarily denied. " Gay marriage is a right, its not listed, so its not necessarily denied.
Maine does not honor two gay people as capable of being 'married'. Those people would have to stay in Canada if they wanted their relationship recognized.
They shouldn't have to. It's wrong that the government isn't recognising their marriages.
Just fucking ban marriage. Don't let it even be a part of the state, make it purely a business contract thing.
Theological government is dumb, they put faith over logic, they're no better than the people that instead of calling 911 when someone gets stabbed they pray over them.
How the hell did you interpret this from what I said?
Not what you said, it was a reply to what iownuall said about complaining.
Then they should be allowed to choose. They are the parents, they decide if they want to have children.
Isn't it a bit selfish to decide that without taking the fate of the child into account?
Isn't it a bit selfish to decide that without taking the fate of the child into account?
Maybe the child will grow up to be tolerant of others and not support these sorts of things in the future.
Isn't it a bit selfish to decide that without taking the fate of the child into account?
If the world wasn't filled with bigots it wouldn't be a fucking problem in the kids were brought up under a gay/lesbian couple. That is like saying an oppressed people shouldn't have children for their 'kid's sake'. Like Slaves in America shouldn't have had kids, or Gypsys in Europe or Palestinians in the Middle East.
good riddens
good riddens
Anyone else find the irony that we can look down on slavery, to suggest it is wrong to have second class citizens, then turn our backs to the plight of Americas true second class citizens.
You use the same irrelevant argument every time, Chippy. Now stop posting. :smug:
you really told that chippy guy a thing or too, guy named after a starwars character. you accidently quoted me though. next time i see him i'll send him your way but really, answer the questions. special note on the: do you realize how stupid you are?
Maybe the child will grow up to be tolerant of others and not support these sorts of things in the future.
He'd get picked on at school.
Isn't it a bit selfish to decide that without taking the fate of the child into account?
so straight people shouldn't have kids either according to your logic. Gay parents don't necessary= gay kid. Also if the kids DOES end up gay, what right does the goverment have to say the "fate" of being gay shouldn't happen. Thats almost opening admitting gays are a second class if you fallow this logic, and if the subject of this is brought up in a court, or government, who ever brought it up needs to be removed of power, or just kicked out of the discussion because its obvious they are ignorant of society.
Huh Im thinking of the wrong admendment... It may be the 9th. But I know one states's you have the right to live life the way you want too.
Nope, no amendment says that
you really told that chippy guy a thing or too, guy named after a starwars character. you accidently quoted me though. next time i see him i'll send him your way
Resorting to name calling I see.
Goddamnit old white people...
Nope, no amendment says that
Amendment 9: Unlisted rights are not necessarily denied. Interrupt it.
Nope, no amendment says that
He is probably thinking of the preamble to the constitution (both the 'justice' and 'liberty' portion).
Amendment 9: Unlisted rights are not necessarily denied. Interrupt it.
That doesn't mean anything you want to do is a right.
Amendment 9: Unlisted rights are not necessarily denied. Interrupt it.
Ya, I guess you could make that argument, but others would probably argue that the government 'is' denying them. The amendment protects rights that are not outlawed, but gay marriage is.
Resorting to name calling I see.
you're not even trying not to act like an idiot you're taking all the sport out of calling you out for being dumb
That doesn't mean anything you want to do is a right.
yes, but would you say gay marriage is a right? Its not necessary denied. Its being debated. I believe its such a obvious answer it shouldn't even be voted on and just made a right. Obama just needs to go to congress and propose a new amendment.
Isn't it a bit selfish to decide that without taking the fate of the child into account?
Gay parents are better than no parents.
Ya, I guess you could make that argument, but others would probably argue that the government 'is' denying them. The amendment protects rights that are not outlawed, but gay marriage is.
Thats where religion and state get mixed. SO!!! it is wrongful banned seeing it was BANNED for religious reasons. If you can find a reason were GOD or a religious reason dose not give a reason to ban gay marriage, then THEN just THEN there might be a reason to vote over it.
