In my school we usually do just about anything football, basketball, badminton, ect and occasionally run the track for a mile. We also have fitness tests. Even then I feel high school PE is worst than middle school PE since we no longer do warm ups.
What High school do you go to? Sounds alot like my P.E.
In Canada we had outdoor ed where we'd go cross country skiing for an hour each day. Sometimes it went over class time and we'd go for longer. :canada:
they made us fucking square dance in PE it was awful
You Too?! I had to do the same exact thing
our school's P.E. curriculum consists of walking down to the bowling alley/going bowling and yoga it's fucking sad
Yoga is a great thing for PE to have actually Bowling is just an excuse to eat onion rings though
Volleyball was so much worse than square dancing holy shit. I was told that I kept doing the incorrect pose EVERY DAY even when i was doing it if you were lucky the ball would go over, if not, your hand would hurt like a bitch oh and the fucking FUCKING PACERS (aka bleep test) WE HAD TO DO FIFTY ALL THE TIME MY FUCKING LEGS
We start PE every day with a 10 minute run around the gym and then we do a fitness day every Wednesday We do running for 5 minutes, pushups, run, wallsits, run, crunches, repeat It's actually a great workout and I've gotten thinner from it but it may just be that I have good people doing the class
I enjoyed PE when there were at least some people that actually tried. That being said, most of the kids in my PE classes over the past few years were 2 kewl 4 PE and just sat on their asses
My teacher once chased me with the golf cart for half a mile because he got sick of me using the mile as an excuse to take an hour long walk and listen to music or read.
My teacher once chased me with the golf cart for half a mile because he got sick of me using the mile as an excuse to take an hour long walk and listen to music or read.
To be fair, a mile taking an hour is a bit of a stretch for most people.
I love PE when I was in high school. We played basketball every fucking motherfucking day, but it was some fun, if not competitive shit.
The girls never fucking tried to actually learn the games we did in PE. I swear they only took the class because half of it was blokes who lifted.
I'd agree, we just mucked around doing footy or rugby, never felt like i was getting fitter because of it.
this is the most British phrase I've ever heard on this site
Outside? I honestly don't think I've ever seen an outdoor pool in England. We went to the local indoor pool when they took us.
We have a pretty nice swimming pool in a nearby pool. It's cold as fuck, but it's pretty nice in the summer. Though there are crazy bastards who do a Christmas Day swim
PE for me was 2km run everyone monday then whatever we were in (basketball, tennis, soccer, football ect) tues-thurs then we vote o a game for Friday. Unfortunately we never got to play dodgeball because the teacher usually joins a team, and one game he knocked a kid out with a rubber ball straight to the face.
In grade school PE, if you were a boy and you weren't going hard enough, you'd be threatened about your grade. If you were a girl, you could stand against the wall doing fuck-all and screaming any time a fluffy ball ever came rolling over and you got an A+. The teacher was called out on it, and she responded by saying she can favor whoever she wants because she's the teacher. High school PE was the only fair or physically demanding PE I've ever had. And I enjoyed every second.
I never suited up or did anything in PE but still got B's and A's some times we got circuits which are cool though
I hated PE because I was (and still am) in bad shape. But what really made it terrible was the other students. They were all a bunch of macho dicks and annoying cheerleaders.
everyone at school is stupid no one understands me~
We did ultimate frisby in summer and rugby in winter which was fun and got you active but the kids who really needed the exercise were always 'ill' on the day we did PE or forgot their kit or some other bullshit excuse for being fat and lazy, school couldn't do much about it because half of them would get their parents to ring in.
That's kind of a dumb attitude to have (I know it isn't yours, you're being sarcastic) PE shouldn't just be exercise, it should teach you the right way to exercise and how to be healthy
Pushups and situps and basketball everyday all day
My old high school P.E. was a fucking joke. All you had to do was jog a mile, and then that it for the class, nothing else. The only thing I did other than jogging the mile was play cards with friends.
In my P.E class, last year we waited probably 10 minutes for our teacher to walk out and take attendance, this year we wait for like 15 for them to finish deciding what to do for the day and then set up the game of volleyball, basketball, etc. This year though they started making us take tests for the games we play and we still have to get changed despite not doing any sports at all.
