Considering Alex Royce (just one example) works at Infinity Ward BECAUSE of modding existing, I'd like to call b.s. on that bulletpoint.

I don't know about YOU guys, but when I played CoD4 I just played to have fun, get higher ranks and new guns, eventually get prestige. As long as IW has enough servers to accommodate all the players (I have no doubt they do, why else would they have all these limited editions of the game, price it $10 more, hype it up so much if they thought nobody was going to play it?), then I really have no beef with them. Since this is getting full integration with Steam, I'm guessing that we can hit the "join game" on our friends to play with them.
bingo.
Good luck finding a regular server to play on, or even making any friends through longer term play. Or setting up a "funserver" to chill around. Or booting up the game 8 years later to nostalgia with friends and have a laugh, when the servers have been shut down to make room for Modern Warfare 15's servers. Or taking your gaming a bit further and joining a clan to play competitively. But whatever, I never even liked the original MW. CoD 1 and 2 were great tho.
I have a pc to play pc games. Not play pc games that emulate consoles.

Boycott this instead of l4d2.

Well, I'm not getting it, hey since we dont like it why not boycott it like every other fucking thing.
Well, I'm not getting it, hey since we dont like it why not boycott it like every other fucking thing.
Because "we" buy the game and give the company money.
apparently the only thing that matters is a game is how you connect to servers. gameplay can go fuck itself.
L4D was overhyped which I am ashamed to admit. /bought L4D There was no teamwork involved since most of the people were idiots and could not shoot zombies worth a shit.
apparently the only thing that matters is a game is how you connect to servers. gameplay can go fuck itself.
because MW's gameplay is oh so innovative but really, the community makes the game 80% of the time, for me at least thats why i dont play MW or CS
because MW's gameplay is oh so innovative but really, the community makes the game 80% of the time, for me at least thats why i dont play MW or CS
who fucking cares about innovation? if its fun, its fine to me.

Well I guess this is the end of clans for this game.
It's rough, but it's a sure transition into the Steam world. VAC instead of PunkBuster makes me cum buckets because I had endless problems with PB on CoD4.
Doesn't that pretty much conclude this thread?
Well, that's retarded.
So what? I never played MW for its multiplayer, it's the singleplayer that was great, so I don't see why people are raging over this.
So what? I never played MW for its multiplayer, it's the singleplayer that was great, so I don't see why people are raging over this.
Just because you didn't play the multiplayer doesn't mean everyone else didn't as well. In fact, a shitload of people played the MW multiplayer on PC.
So what? I never played MW for its multiplayer, it's the singleplayer that was great, so I don't see why people are raging over this.
Gamers rage over a lot of things.
I just hope you guys don't start a MW2 boycott.
well this game is gonna have boycotters galore
So much rage in this thread, it's god damn hilarious.
No longer buying this.
Robert Bowling has confirmed that the PC version of Call of Duty is essentially ruined as far as multiplayer and customization goes. Let's get a quick rundown here of what Bowling said on the webcast. • IW has control of the game. So? ( Well, when you start hating the shitty Vanilla models don't come crying to us ) • IWnet servers will host multiplayer. Good that means no shoddy servers. ( Good now people hiding underground waiting for the Apocalypse can't play ) • DLC will be a charged item for PC. Welcome to reality. ( Sorry that you can't mod things in consoles, but PC gamers actually have standards for game developers ) • No dedicated servers. Sure. ( Welcome to reality, oh wait your quite from it... EA! ) • Matchmaking system used to play with similarly ranked players. Because there won't be a command to open a server list just like L4D ( Who knows? Halo 3 anyone? ) • VAC instead of PB. And the problem with this is? Or do people like being kicked for the littlest reasons? ( We PC gamers love this! Amirite! ) • Semi-capable password servers. Big deal. ( ... ) • Semi-capable ad-hoc servers. Big deal. ( ... ) • Competitive play is dead. OH NO WHAT A LOSS TO THE WORLD, THESE FUCKING NERDS CAN'T SCREAM THAT I SUCK/ARE A NIGGER/MOTHERFUCKER/SHOULD GO DIE BECAUSE I'M NOT IN MLG!1 ( Oh no, now people can't set up fun tournaments so they can look coolz! Thank goodness we took that away ) • MW2 mods would not be possible. So? Oh I mean, damn what a shame there won't be a zombie mod god MW2's ruined fucking infinity ward >:CCC ( Shame I can't update the crappy models in vanilla that a modder could make in a week... ) • Full integration into Steam. So? or did everyone enjoy having to manually update when a patch was out? ( So, what about the people that don't have online? ) I really don't see what the problem is. :buddy: [editline]11:20PM[/editline] But please no boycotts, seriously do those EVER work.
yeah same here, i was gonna pre-order it when i got the money, but not anymore...
yeah same here, i was gonna pre-order it when i got the money, but not anymore...
That Bad Company game looks all right but its ( EA! ) so I don't know. :Dawkins102:
That Bad Company game looks all right but its ( EA! ) so I don't know. :Dawkins102:
When will you people learn that DICE makes the battlefield games and not EA.
When will you people learn that DICE makes the battlefield games and not EA.
Well Infinity Ward makes COD but they are acting like EA and Activision.
