But there's no need for multiple TBs unless you plan on simply acquiring more videos and games that you have actually have time for. I have 50 games installed, ~200 movies and a few complete TV shows and I've used up about 1 TB across 2 drives.
That video card doesn't look plugged in? Or did they do something weird and hardwire it to the board? If not when its plugged in the box will have a bunch of wasted space, should add a hard drive tray above the processor for an expansion option.

It's not meant to be plugged in. They just laid out components. Though if it is laid out like that, I expect Valve to use a PCIe thingy for 90 degree angles (I've totally forgotten the word for that).
Would be sweet if they could recommend certain boxes based on a game-related search in the site, could be so convenient, knowing valve they'll probably do it
i'm expecting a unified graphics ratings system, where the Steamboxes will be rated Levels 1-4, and each Steam store page will rank its game's maximum settings by the level of box required for consistent playable framerate
Half-Life 2 would be at LVL1, Portal 2 at LVL2, ARMA III at LVL3, Crysis 4 at LVL4

Angled riser card.
Sub-$500 price tag and this wins the day. (I know this is impossible, but let me dream.)
With an i7-4770 in, you can keep on dreaming
we're gonna start seeing 50gb upward games soon enough
the storage space makes sense
Here's a question. Would it be possible to purchase one of these machines that has a titan and swap out my evga gtx 660 with it? Therefore upgrading my desktop gpu and still having a decent card within my steambox?

Can I hack this box? Run another OS? Change the hardware? Install my own software? Use it to build a robot?
Sure.
No.
Eh if you just took the NT kernel, threw in a basic win32api, a directX api on top of that you could probably run it off of ram as well and bring the whole thing down to a very small size.
"just"
Only Microsoft could do that, and they already did, It's called the Xbox.

And while the idea itself is great, look at the direction they're taking it.
