White woman fights anti Chinese racism by vandalizing a Chinese restaurant owned by a Chinese man

I don't like these sort of people who get offended on behalf of minorities when the minorities they are supposedly fighting for aren't really that offended if at all. These are likely the type of people who call minorities who disagree with them "Uncle Toms" or something along those lines. All actions like what the woman did just make social activism look bad.

I don't like it either because unnatural hair look cool (if you do it right), but all the crazies are taking it.
It's getting to the point that these people bother me just as much as actual racists.
being accused of being racist, even though I'm like, 1000% sure I'm not, is something I don't want to listen to
they're just cunts looking for a fight to pick
People love getting offended on behalf of others.

Nerd/hipster glasses and unnatural hair colours aren't always the female fedora though. I knew a girl with purplish-red hair and hipster glasses and she was pretty much normal, didn't call me out as a misogynist pig when I asked her on a date and even agreed to it, and her Tumblr wasn't full of SJW bullshit. Maybe it's only a white girl thing though, the girl I knew was Filipino.

It's more an american thing from what I've seen.

Is this shit for real? In what world do you live in where you are so sensitive to someone's outward appearance as to be like, "whoa this person is completely normal and didn't act like a strawman!" Did you know that people can be normal? It's true!
Let's be clear, the person in the article is completely in the wrong here, I don't think you should be vandalizing anything regardless of how you feel. If she took offense, leave it to writing a bad review, spreading the word on tumblr or Facebook or whatever, instead of physically marking the store.
However, I notice a general consensus of Facepunch duders love to dogpile when it comes to the FUCKING SJWs or TUMBLRITEs or whatever other 21st century boogeyman is popular. Like, women should be able to dye their hair and say things they want to say, and you shouldn't have any issue with it. You can do that shit all you want, too, but why be so aggressive and rude about it? A little kindness and understanding can go a long way, you'd be surprised at how quickly some people are willing to change their attitude when you approach them with a willingness to be civil. They aren't monsters, and especially not like the stupid strawmen arguments I see all over.
I dunno guys I just want to stop seeing all of the super negative posts!

And they shouldn't have issue with me not wanting to associate with them. It goes both ways.
Jesus Christ, is that dyed hair I see? Is it official? Is dyed hair the womens fedora/neckbeard?
I hope not, because I rather not see anymore fucking annoying variations of typical "dork" insults that nearly every single person on the passive-aggressive side of the internet uses.

They went from cool to basically meaning you're some sperglord dipshit.
why are people shocked to see dyed hair? tonnes of people dye their hair wtf.
this is pretty shitty tho. i dont think it's good for people to go straight to vandalism and shit like that. they should always attempt to contact the owner/entrepreneur and find out the reasons for whatever perceived wrong.
vandalism is meant to be a last resort type of communication and protest.
IMO
When.
Probably when they went out of style of being casual clothes and part of a 3 piece outfit.
This guy should open a gofundme, I'd invest in him reopening his restaurant after having to deal with this petty shit.
Self-centered egotistical cunts who realize their savior fantasies by enabling their latent racism in the act of talking in the place of people who are perfectly able to talk for themselves because they somehow think these minorities aren't physically or mentally able to perceive issues and speak up about them.
Its funny, because it is White Man's Burden applied to racism. Clearly only middle-class white men/women know what is good for [oppressed minority of choice]!

Half Japanese my ass. I'm some fucker whose less Japanese than that and it shows up more than on her. She may be a quarter Japanese or something, but not half. Directly mixed half and half Eurasians are way more obvious.
Here's another angle.

I guess one of her parents is Japanese. I don't know if that alone actually makes one half-Japanese, but that's probably what they meant.

Did I imply that I ever expected her to act like a strawman feminist because of her appearance? No, I never did, I was just responding to the idea that dyed hair and hipster glasses are the female equivalent to the fedora neckbeard by relating my own experience of that not being the case.
I also have real world examples of girls with dyed hair and hipster glasses being radical feminists/SJWs, but that's more correlation than being any sort of proof of that being the "female fedora" because it's literally only one example. I have more examples of girls who fit the stereotype of a radical feminist or SJW, and even a girl who's my best friend who identifies as a feminist, not being batshit.
its almost like people say chop chop as in to hurry up or do something quickly as in restaraunt service, or people chop food in a restaraunt
as for chinaman thats probably racist

Depending on a whole host of factors, the genes from one parent (in this example the Japanese parent) may not express in their child completely. When you get that 50/50 mixture of human goo, it doesn't actually result in a properly 50/50 split in the offspring. For example; me and my brother both have the same parents, but quite different appearances for siblings in some areas of our faces. Basic genetics.
Someone not looking "half-Japanese" doesn't mean too much at face value. It could just mean the Japanese parent lost out in the gene expression war with the non-Japanese parent.
So in order to protect the Chinese from oppression she makes a Chinese owned restaurant go out of business.
Nice
as for chinaman thats probably racist
I'm sorry but how is Chinaman in any way racist? I mean I understand it has historical negative connotation, but are people honestly that committed to continually thinking it's racist even though it doesn't even sound bad nor does it really mean anything other than a man who is from China?
I mean, is it racist to say someone is a black man? Or a white man? How about American man? Why are none of these considered super offensive but as soon as someone says Chinaman it's somehow derogatory as opposed to the fact that it's simply a word defining a nationality? Nobody would give a shit if it were called 'Chop Chop Chinese Man', but that just doesn't roll off the tongue.
Jesus Christ people are way too goddamn sensitive to this shit, and 90% of the people getting offended, (IE the girl in the article), aren't even part of that nationality. She just made herself out to be a complete idiot not to mention she may have even caused this guy's business to fail which is not something you can easily get back up from. If she was Chinese I might see her side of the story but honestly from what I've read she seems just as bad as all these other people who take it upon themselves to be offended for other people despite those other people not even being slightly bothered by the fact.
IMO that name is catchy as fuck and I would eat there. I feel insanely bad for this guy losing his business because I know from second-hand experience just how extremely hard it is to open a restaurant in the first place let alone to reopen it after being slandered by this bitch who obviously has no clue how stupid she sounds.
I would imagine "Chinaman" could be used in a derogatory way just as "Jew" can.
So a chinese person can't say chinaman?
Honestly, the fact that the words themselves have become bad instead of context pisses me off. Ideas are offensive, not words. (With exceptions for heavily engrained words like the N-word.)
The context for "Chinaman" in this name is nowhere near offensive.
it's kind of a funny full circle type situation.
way back when, the Chinese shop would be vandalized out of racism
now it's vandalized out of anti-racism.
Chinese people are some of the hardest people to offend ever. The only way to offend them with shit like ching chong and sloped eyes are if you're seriously obnoxious or malicious about it.
I'm starting to think it's just white people that get easily offended by minor things :v:
