Got a spare $500,000? You can buy this bloke's video game collection

Most of the games he reviews are given to him for free by fans, he doesn't buy many
One thing I'm curious about, he has more consoles than controllers and cables. Does this mean that half of the consoles are missing cables and controllers, or that he has many duplicates and only kept one set of cables to use with all of them?
Gamestop would offer him $35
Looks like a Gamers Paradise, if only it wasn't damn expensive.
If I had millions of dollars, I'd make an offer on it. It's a nice collection and it's probably worth about $300,000
I wonder how much he spent collecting that?
Thousands of games, lots of equipment, pretty much relics of the past?
Best I can do is $50.

I'll need to call in my expert on this.
I'll buy if only if he has a copy of Too Human.
If I was a millionaire I'd buy it all and make it into a video game playground for kids.
If I was a millionaire I would buy it all and start myself a video game museum.
I take it someone's mom finally decided that someone was completely ignoring what to do in life and had to intervene.
Damn, all those CIB systems and really old games.
Everything is pristine. Kinda amazing.
He/whoever buys it should open a gaming museum.
The pictures just won't stop loading.
Welp time to win the lottery or start up a kickstarter for the money. This collection looks amazing, half of it at least belongs in a museum.
If I ever bought this, I would probably open up everything and actually use it and ruin its value like a complete shithead.
Mainly because it would be fun knowing thousands of collectors just died on the inside and because I would never buy something I don't intend to use

Yeah kids are well known for taking care of game mediums. I'd give your collection a month.

If I had the money to buy it I'd probably have the money to fly and meet various collectors looking to get these super rare never seen before closed-in-box items and just open them and start playing them in front of them
I'm extremely jealous and I've probably not heard of 90% of the games.
[editline]8th February 2013[/editline]
Unless 90% consists of Nintendo, then I retract that statement.
why would you waste 500k collecting old games
Why do any sort of a hobby at all?
I couldn't imagine selling such a collection.
God, I would not rest easy if I bought that, and it was in the mail. I seriously would freak out until it came to my front door.

I have a friend who specializes in this stuff.
Most of that stuff has never been touched. It's kinda sad.
Even I drag out and use all my hardware from time to time because it's not designed to be on a shelf (or fit on one :v:) and my amassed total is somewhere in the $3000000 range, of course getting that kind of money is about as big of a dream.
This is a pretty tempting offer, especially considering the sheer amount of items. Shame he doesn't seem to have an Arcade collection; that's what I'd really want from it.
Holy fuck, this guy has a entire dream collection of games.
If only I had that kind of money... :v

I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be delivered in the mail ..
Holy shit, an Evangelion games console.
I'll take it. I'll take it all.
man, i'll never have that much cool shit.
looks like it's sold.
