man he doesn't really seem like a warmonger [editline]06:26PM[/editline] perhaps that's just me
A few things, captain warmonger: A) Global Marketing and trading is an easy way to establish international relations, nobody wants war if peace is more profitable. B) Defending, sure, I get that, it makes sense. But Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, Bosnia and Hiroshima all lacked reasources to invade or take over a country, yet, America slaughtered them harder than a paid actor would slaughter a latex-cow in a PETA commercial. C) Who said anything about law enforcement removal? If someone is a prick, gun them down. But don't make a cheesy "Bankrobber memorial day". Get your head out of the armybucket and look at alternatives before you make a giant painting where women are being chainsawed to death, calling it "Peace". Your arguments are so rediculously magnified and lacking of facts from the other party, so it dosn't surprise me that you like to disfigure your rivals with explosives. I'm not another bubbleheaded code pink optimist, but I know that greed always comes before bloodthrist, thus rendering peace a possibility.
Oh look at you. Putting words in my mouth. Where did I say I like to disfigure my enemies? A.) There's groups who won't care if the market is godlike, or stable, they will want to kill you. B.) America might not have much right over in Iraqi, but you act like America is the only country to ever go in another country and try to change it. It might be wrong, but we're not the only one. Also Iraqi's own people slaughter more of their kind than the US ever will. Get your head out of your peace loving bucket. C.) Gun them down? Wow, but then that would be violent! We can't do that remember? We must find peace, maybe if I tell the maniac that the market has gone up he won't kill that lady. Get your head out of the peace bucket, we are always looking for ways for peace, besides killing, but it doesn't always mean it's gonna work. To save some people you gotta kill some people, it sucks and is unfair, but life sucks and life is unfair, get use to it.

People will always be individualistic, and those with values close enough will ally themselves and go against those with opposing values. Therefor starting war, after the enemy is eliminated you will have "peace" until another schism starts, then the wheel spins. Basically, what I am saying is that humans will never see a philosophically true peace until they are eliminated off the face of the earth. As far as I know, no one has yet to step into that line. This is where I close with a very important quote, "He who wants peace, Let him prepare for war" - Gaius Septimus Vegetus.

It's a simple concept, and yes, on occassion there are those opressive and evil people who mistreats others, but they are nothing but common criminals and terrorists. War means two major nations fighting for economical gain, it's simple, since most of the time, both are civilized. If you think peace is some sugarcoated bullshit fairyland where everyone hugs and never argues again, then by all fucking means, save a bullet for me. Peace, by it's right definition simply means no more global conflicts, it can be done through alliances, economical trades and various other measures. Several zones, such as large portions of Europe, is at peace through good relations, to gradually expand that isn't too fucking impossible as you make it seem. People will always die, and fight and gargle blood, nobody can change that. But we sure as hell can make like civilised human beings and look for reasonable alternatives to keep the greater leaders out of it. Learn the meaning of words before spewing crap all over them. [editline]12:11PM[/editline] Small edit: I'm only gonna reply to "Daddy-of-war", no offence, just, I got things to do, making massive walls of text isn't one of them.
Peace, by it's right definition simply means no more global conflicts, it can be done through alliances, economical trades and various other measures.
Yeah, look how good alliances contributed to world peace in the years before World War I.
Yeah, look how good alliances contributed to world peace in the years before World War I.
you have a fantastic avatar.
Yeah, look how good alliances contributed to world peace in the years before World War I.
I sort of meant the singular definition of it, just look at UN, and... Maybe NATO, if they can get more people, we got something going.

War has more than reason than we have fingers and toes. War is mostly over religion, politics, or control. I will admit most countries see a gain in it, but they will lie and tell you it's about religion etc etc, and sometimes it is. It can be about anything and everything. The civil war was about the freedom of blacks, the American revolution was the war for independence for America (just the ones off the top of my head) WW1 if I remember correctly (excuse me if i'm wrong) the Germans thought that France was a threat, because France had attack before, and they were mad. WW2 was because the German people where tired of taking the blame, and Hitler used that to fuel his monster of a machine. War has many faces, it not just about gain. What about radical groups like the Taliban or other Terrorist organizations? Those groups might not be a nuclear bomb cock welding nation, but dammit if they aren't a threat. War is not a fun thing, I agree with you..I would love nothing more than to have peace, to have a world where I can not be afraid that some dick wad is gonna push a button and kill us all, but it's not like that..the world is rough, we fought since we could walk upright. We formed alliances when we discovered that other people shared the same views.. War is war, war is not a good thing, but it's gonna be needed sometimes.

Pherhaps my idealism isn't perfectly solid, but just by trying, alot of massive conflicts and be prevented, and lives can be spared. Nobody is right the first time, and nobody succeeds at the first attempt, but untill we're ready to try a few times, rather than "predicting fail", humanity is gonna stand still and not evolve.

There will always be war. Just accept the fact, and strive for less war instead of no war. Sure there may be less of it if there was an ideal world, but there will always be killings and conflicts as long as people have freedom of thought. Of course, you could always take away the freedom of thought, then it would be the perfect place to live. Oh wait.
Not necessarily. Not everyone joins the army because of apple pie and honor and American values you know.
Yeah but not all join thinking "WOOHOO IMA GO SHOOT ME SOME LITTLE BROWN GURLZ YEEHAAA!" you know.
Oh, how touching, allow me to wipe my tears on the American flag, since it's nice, pretty, patriotic tears filled with the blood of godless north Korean communists... :fuckoff: If I have to chose between world peace or "offending" some dead people for saying that war is wrong under any circumstances, then guess what, I pick the second one. I'm pretty sure that it's alot more disrespectful to go all "what happened to these men was right, and should be honored", than going "let's make sure nobody is exposed to this horror again.", I'm pretty sure that if they rose from their graves and had to chose between siding with me, the one who wants them to be able to sit at home, living in peace, or you, the wannabe-soldier who sucks up to authority and how they send people out to a hellish meatgrinder known as "war", pretty sure they'd kick your ass, pull down your pants, shove the flag in it, and then salute it!
Sorry, you went from having a honest correct argument to being a blithering idiot.
Yeah but not all join thinking "WOOHOO IMA GO SHOOT ME SOME LITTLE BROWN GURLZ YEEHAAA!" you know.
That has nothing to do with my statement.
but the ultimate goal should still be to erradicate them
Did you...did you just defeat your own point?
To all of Uncle Johnny's friends who died in Vietnam.
