This shit happened exactly with the Benghazi emails thing. No one took it seriously because they can point at fox news and laugh at how retarded they were about it. Now you're seeing people in this thread screaming LEFTIST MEDIA and self-justifying their rage against the liberal machine because gawker is apparently a valid news source.
And this is the reason regardless if you like or dislike Trump, the media being slack about a few things such as Benghazi and other scandals during the Obama administration, he can use this to easily justify his position on the media and use it to null or downplay attacks on him. Trump is insanely smart, he knows exactly what he is doing and knows exactly what he is saying and why.
Why is this thread not closed yet? 3 pages long so far and it's all mindless crap.
As much as I understand and agree with the criticism regarding trump, making fun of a name change is kind of really stupid and childish.

It's not just making fun of a name change. The reason why it started was because John Oliver talked about it on his show.
The context was the Trump made fun of Jon Stewart for changing his last name from something really jewish to something not-so-jewish and trump attacked him for not being proud of his heritage. It's silly symbolism for how Trump loves to change his positions on things.

The whole Drumpf thing came at the end of a 20 minute video showing why all the common reasons people give for supporting him are bullshit as a punchline to how Trump has turned his name into a brand with that distracts from and doesn't represent the truth of person.

The Trump brand vs the Clinton brand.
They both have an undeserved prestige.

I don't see your point Trump, has constantly pays tribute to his german heritage and father. He didn't switch it because he was ashamed.

They're not mocking the "left-wing" for being left-wing, they're mocking the press for being too hyperbolic and dishonest. The comparisons to Hitler sound just as ridiculous as comparing Stalin to Sanders.
