It's not like it's the first time this has happened. I know there are some pictures out there with guys carrying AS VALs. There are also some pictures/videos showing the rebels with certain T-64 and BTR-80 variants that were never used by Ukraine.

I noticed in the army that most camo was almost the same on most trucks but had minor variations

Funny seeing this now, since I'm sitting in one of these atm.
As a transporter in the army I can say that old trucks are actually better than the new ones.
Newer models have much more shit that can break and fuck up your day.
I'd prefer an old truck over a new one in the army any days since they tend to be more reliable than comfortable.
