Largest part was Microsoft pushing him to make exclusives
Now he just wants to experiment different games(?) to see how they work out
I believe in the end he wants to make a game based on the results of the experiment
They're probably going to stream all of the content if it's "massively multiplayer"
Therefore: No cracks- only bots.
What if what's inside the cube
Is another cube
Make a machine that taps continuously
Put phone in charger
Wait forever
peter molyneux ain't got everything in order upstairs
I guess the files of what's inside (if there's something) will be server side.
I hope this is inside

Molyneux can, by all means, go fuck himself.
He hasn't made a single playable game after the first Black and White.

that joke's already been made mate
And who's going to spend 50'000£ on a DLC for something that is just an experiment? It obviously won't be worth it since he plans to make 22 of these experiments in less than two years, they will be kind of rushed.
It's an interesting experiment on curiosity however. I will surely read about what's going on without actually playing the "game".

I'm always late ;_;
If the center of the cube is such a big fucking deal and costs 50,000 currency to get there really really fast then Moneyneaux better be offering a real life reward.
This man is a mad genius. He knows players will get crazy and demand to know what's hidden within the ominous cube.
Like everybody has already said, somebody is just going to set a button that toggles mouse clicks, and just have it go for however long it needs to. Since only one person will actually see the secret, they had BETTER tell everybody else what it is.
Five dollars that it's some guy that barely goes on the internet, and doesn't really even care about the secret.
Funniest thing is: Somebody somewhere will spend that much money on it
I don't really see the point of buying a better pick even if I was interested; because if there's only one thing for everyone to pick at in an "MMO" game about picking at a thing, then all the players baseline efforts combined are likely going to plow right through it a la Realm of the Mad God.
I'm always late ;_;
Use protection then.
It's similar to the consumer research valve is doing in tf2 with the mannco store. Only valve is doing it within a game that is good in it's own right, this is just a game designed entirely around teasing you into spending money.

But a kid with a thousand dollars chisel will reach the core before you anyway. You might as well wait for a video of it to be released (if the guy records it).
Peter is most looking forward to discovering how/when/if that player divulges the secret. “We will rely entirely on social media,” he explains. “How will this person prove it? That in itself becomes a fascinating aspect of this experiment.”
This implies that only one player will see the secret, that would be fun if the guy doesn't tell what he saw. Or if he ask money for a a video of it :v:

MMO game about nose picking.
GOTY every year!
This is just going to end up with some 12 year old not thinking it's serious and using his mothers credit card to buy it.
Peter Molyneux's idea of a good game is going to jail for a few years and coming back to find out your wife cheated on you then killing an old man because he shot your dog.
Oddly enough this was my Fable 2 experience.
i'm willing to take molyneux at his word that it's a social experiment. there are far better ways for someone like him to make money than a game like this.
it'll be interesting to see if anyone buys the diamond chisel. a lot of micro-transaction based games have really expensive items(in excessive of a thousand dollars, but a lot less than this) because there's a certain percentage of the base that will buy those items. i wonder how far that can be pushed.
