And somehow we're supposed to have Emperor Scorpius and the guy with the avatar of Mercy shrugging sitting here and telling us Hillary is a "lesser evil" compared to Trump. Uh-huh.
How is this even an argument? How is it even relevant?
How is this even an argument? How is it even relevant?
It's not an "argument", it's merely a comment.
It's not an "argument", it's merely a comment.
it's low effort trash and doesn't add anything to the discussion you're basically implying that their opinions don't matter because somebody has an avatar of a videogame character. i'm not even following how the logic works

I implied nothing of the sort. It's someone with a Mercy avatar whose username I ccouldn't quite recall. Raidyr (totally missed the fact that they had posted in the thread already, my apologies for that). I meant it as no more than a means of identification. I can tell you're itching to start an argument here, it's emanating from your every pore. But I'm not playing ball with you.
Okay but that isn't even related tangentially to anything I said my reply to someone else. Feel free to argue it with me. Sanders is more of a career politician than Clinton is and people seem enamored with him. I don't know if that's you and Freezorg but the general idea that we would dismiss someone from being a candidate purely because they have been a politician is silly. [editline]22nd June 2016[/editline] It's like saying a carpenter is inherently bad at his job because he has been building houses for 30 years. It's nonsensical. Career politicians can be bad, or they can be good, but the qualities that determine these are generally subjective and have nothing to do with how long they have been politicians.
When people say career politician as a criticism of Hillary, they're referring to politicians who will do anything, say anything, to progress through the political ranks - people who care more about their own career, power, wealth etc than they do about making their country better or representing their people. They're not talking literally about people who make careers out of being politicians. This is a pretty solid description of Hillary who was on the campaign staff for the most conservative Republican nominee in recent history, Goldwater, and has flip flopped constantly depending on whatever position is most popular, meanwhile Bernie's been pretty content sitting in Congress for decades without making too much noise beyond being one of the more successful legislators in Congress, and has held true to his values and positions. I don't think you can really call a self described socialist a career politician, since if he really cared about rising to the top above anything else, he'd be a lot more wary about using the s word in America. [editline]23rd June 2016[/editline]
What? I implied nothing of the sort. It's someone with a Mercy avatar whose username I can't quite recall but starts with R.
You mean Raidyr? Like 5 posts above yours? I think he just didn't understand your post and neither do I frankly.
Yeah sorry. Edited my previous post. And Sobotnik you're free to call my posts "Low effort trash" but I have no illusions about being able to change someone's opinion on Facepunch, especially not on a subject such as this. It can't be done. I have no interest in arguing for the sake of arguing.
it's low effort trash and doesn't add anything to the discussion
I tried my hardest not to make snide remarks about that being your schtick. And I failed. And I'm sorry for that.
Oh spare me the appeal to my sense of patriotism, I've already said that I'm glad Trump's big mouth and Hillary's corruption are driving people to third party in... I believe three threads now, this being the fourth. Doesn't matter though, it's still my vote and I'll do whatever the hell I want with it.
Yeah you go gurl, fight that power! Nobody gives a fuck that it's your vote or not. Nobody is actively trying to prevent you from voting whoever the hell you want in. But they are still entirely within their right to laugh at your choice and debate shit with you. Holy shit duder, stop taking every single fucking "debate" you throw yourself into as a personal attack on your and your FREEDOMS. People are just discussing shit and like 60% of the people on here can't actually impact stuff. Just discuss like a actually reasonable person instead of devolving into your standard condescending shitposting for once.
