Yes, that above is the guy that survived a headshot from that helmet
Haha oh wow
A 7.62x39 isn't going to maintain any more energy at 2 miles, the bullet has trouble taking down a deer at 300 yards, how do you expect to travel two miles, bust through a roof, and then a human head? The bullet isn't going to hold much more energy than terminal velocity.
Additionally, if the church is anything like all of the churches i've been to, the roof is thick and the walls are made of brick or concrete.
"The 7.62 can kill without ANY problem what-so-ever at 300 yards. With sight adjustments, you can hit a human at half a mile. The bullet arcs without losing much of it's properties. On random, like here, you can hit and go through a brick wall at 2 miles. The bullet will lose it's momentum after hitting the brick wall, obviously, but I have no idea how thick a church roof is, so it's possible. One in a million, but possible."
Quoting my grandfather. He has served in the army for 6 years, had an AK, knows enough, so that I could quote him for truth.

Wow, never heard it put that way.
Why is there still a debate over how the bullet hit the boy? The boy is dead, it wasn't someone in the church, it wasn't a sniper. And maybe the ballistics people are off and the bullet was fired a little closer than they thought.
And if anybody is still doubting that a bullet fired at an angle from long distance could still have enough force to injure or kill, download one of the free ballistics calculators you can easily find online and be done with it.
"The bullet fired from an AK-47 assault rifle passed through the roof and struck him on the head"
Clearly the Russians are behind this attack.
Damn domestic terrorists...
Everything is an AK-47 to a reporter.
Can anybody find that image...?
Poorest of luck, yet also depressingly ironic. (Churches are meant to be protective, but his presence in that exact seat where the bullet was gonna hit resulted in his tragically-untimely death)
Why waste a bullet when you can shoot a terrorist with it? Gentlemen?
Why waste a bullet when you can shoot a terrorist with it? Gentlemen?
Why not? It's fun to waste stuff.
I can totally relate with him.
I hate headaches too.
Oh wow, that's really ironic how you go to such a holy place for prayer and end up getting shot in the head. I feel bad for the parents :-(
But then you have to know what it was that created whatever created the Big Bang, and then when you use that logic you set it back to a God, then you have to have a God that made that God. It goes on forever, and it's pretty clear that the human race will never know for sure what created the first thing ever.
This proves it, even persons responsible can't stop derailing even if their life depends on it when it comes to religion.
Why does it seem that everyone in that church is black. Do no white people go there?
It was fired up. It came down at least 2-3x faster than when it was shot.
Please take Physics 1.

We shouldn't really have fun, because somewhere, someone else might get hurt.
Holy shit, what are the odds of that?!
[editline]09:41PM[/editline]
that pun was not intended
Well if you take into consideration the ballistic coefficient of the 7.62, the maximum estimated range of the round(being 1 click), wind, humidity, maximum reached altitude of the round, time spent in there, air density there, The transonic problem, gyroscopic drift, magnus effect, poisson efect and coriolis drift, that was extremely non-likely to happen.
[editline]11:09PM[/editline]
No pun intended.
also, ITT: Dickheads trying to be cool and funny.
well it seems to be working
Unless there's some way to automatically detect the exact model of firearm used just by looking at a squashed bullet that I overlooked, it appears that they just noticed that the round was a 7.62x39 round and assumed it was an AK 47 simply because it would be more sensational.
More than likely it was an SKS.
But in any case this is really, really fucked up.
2 miles? Thats head-shatteringly far
It would've been funnier if you said "mind-shatteringly". It's still in the head.
Better than sitting in Church.
Better than sitting in Church.
Yes, I'm sure everyone here can agree that getting killed by a stray bullet would be much better than spending an hour of your time listening to an old guy talk about Jesus.
That's just a fucking shitty deal.
where's your god now.
In heaven...?

I would rather be shot by a stray bullet then spend an hour in church being yelled at by people talking about jesus.
