lol, Apple. Making everyone buy hip overpriced bullshit since the iPod.
But the iPod was actually a GOOD product.
No, they are essentially completely same in their use. Thing is that OpenGL is doing on XP what supposedly couldn't be done and REQUIRED the OS upgrade change. In other words, DX10 being impossible on XP is a smoking heap of bullshit.
OpenGL doesn't handle inputs, audio, etc. Just keep that in mind. A lot less stuff they have to change for backwards compatibility. Sure, Microsoft could've gotten it to work, but why waste the time? They couldn't have thought DirectX10 was taking off at least for another year or two which they probably thought Vista would've been widely adopted by then, and it's old software anyway, of course they're going to develop for a new release and not pay as much attention to an older one. Do you not remember the 90s eras of Windows?

If they made OS itself obsolete and new hardware reliant somehow, then yes you can flip your shits. If you just have to upgrade your operating system then it really isn't the end of the world, especially when the operating system you're on is six years old and it only costs $20 to upgrade anyway. Not to mention the fact that it's just iTunes, I use iTunes maybe once in a blue moon.
Having learned that their laptop power adapters, which usually cost between 10-25 dollars, cost 80 dollars, I can no longer find myself to get upset about any dick move Apple pulls.
why the fuck would you still be running Tiger?
10.5 is intel processors only. Some are still on the old powerpc processors.
10 years in the computing industry has a lot more implications than that. Most people entering Computer Science (Bsc Hons) will learn things at the start of their degree that will be completely outdated by the end of it (4 years)
If your CS knowledge is outdated in 4 years, then you are learning the wrong CS, sir. [editline]27th May 2011[/editline]
10.5 is intel processors only. Some are still on the old powerpc processors.
10.5 runs on PPC. The performance isn't all that great from what I hear, but 10.6 is the first Intel only release.
