No doubt played Halo 4
looks like he got xboned.
This is such a real shame.
The inquest heard that Henry was found by his sister hanging in the bedroom of his home at Brow Edge, Newchurch, at 5.15pm on November 25, 2013.
I feel very sorry for his parents and family, they're going to live with this, that their son killed himself, that the final tipping point was that he made a financial mistake on an online gaming service. He definitely seems to have underlying mental health concerns, some of which probably weren't picked up on and attributed to his decision.
He doesn't seem like he was a bad kid.
His sister found him, so he has scarred his gf and sister for life. I'm sure the mom is heartbroken but it sounds like she's well aware of the mental issues he was dealing with. She's an adult too, so she should be able to handle this. The sister and gf, being so young, are really going to struggle though.
No, his mother is going to be the worst of the three. She might be the oldest and probably most mature, but it's her fucking baby.
He's not going to get any christmas presents killing himself either. It's sad that such young children are coming to this conclusion, although he did seem to be hard pressed after his friend killing himself.

There's like a 0% chance not getting any Christmas presents this year is what caused him to hang himself.
I'm surprised nobody's posted about how "selfish" this guy is yet.
And it's fucking disgusting that the news article implies that he killed him self just because of the xbox bill.
He won't be remembered as being a nice boy, a good friend, or a talented kid, he'll be remembered as "lol the 420 bill xbox guy XDDD"
How do you accidentally buy £420 of Xbox games? It shows you how much the thing costs and requires confirmation to make the purchase.

Very carelessly.
This was one smart kid. Sure had his priorities straight.

"I am not getting any christmas presents this year, better kill myself"
holy fuck you guys are assholes
Did you even read the article? His friend just killed himself, and he quite obviously has other mental problems. Don't be so goddamn condescending.
I wonder what the media will take from this. Games kill children or drugs kill children.

Socially awkward internet nerds have trouble with concepts like "empathy" and actions like "reading an article past the first line" or "inferring something very likely based off of evidence."

I honestly don't give a shit what the media says about muh stupid videogames, I just don't want them to disrespect somebody who was driven to kill themselves.
Seriously, somebody died. Who cares about how this will affect a dumb hobby?
How about the credit card bill he would have received then? Does it even matter?
oh i'm stupid
i forgot those exist, i assumed it was a bank issued card that took the money right out of the bank account
Call me a ruthless son of a bitch, but I don't pity him.
Suicide is not the answer.
Edit: Why would you even rate me dumb, does it seem logical enough for you to commit such an act in such a case?
I've had to deal with far more things than a God damn 420 pounds games download.
Growing up alone, having no money at all, parents being away for months, years, being back-stabbed by friends, did I ever attempt a suicide? Not even close.
That's 59008 dinars how many fucking games did he fucking download jeez

Let's play... Who Didn't Read the Article! I'm your host, SuperDuperScoot.
I won't call you ruthless, I won't call you any names. Though I will say you are very uninformed on both this situation and depression/mental health as a whole.
It was BLATANTLY obvious as every other person in the thread that bothered to read the entire article said, that the kid had already been dealing with the recent suicide of a friend, as well as many other underlying mental issues. The bill was just the final hole the boat needed to sink.
Are you familiar with the term "the straw that broke the camel's back"?
On top of that, woo. You have been through shit and didn't consider suicide. Yay! Do you want me to throw a party? Okay, to the point, you're not everyone else. Everyone else is not you. Not everyone handles everything the same. Some are more fragile than others. Everyone is wired differently, and you can rant about how dumb or selfish suicide is, but to someone who has a chemical unbalance in their brains, suicide is the only option.
Thats one dank bill.
I actually did read the article, and I've dealt with a family member suicide in 2009.
But to take your own life over a 420pound bill and whatnot? Heh.
Also, because his friend committed suicide does that mean that he has to, too? If your friend told you to jump off a building, will you jump? I guess not.
A lot of people's friends committed suicide, do they also suicide because of that and a god dang bill? I assume not.

I see you're still completely missing my point.
Shit builds up in people, you know. Everyone has their breaking point.
Let's use an analogy. Imagine this.
Here is a house, in a harsh winter. (the boy) It snows and snows and snows. Now, normally this house's roof is pretty tough. But over the years of wear and tear (his past issues and underlying mental problems), AND the 5 feet of snow that's already built up on top if it (the friend's suicide), that's going to hinder it's ability to take much more. The supports are creaking, the walls are cracking...
The sky drops one last tiny flake. (the bill)
The roof collapses. (suicide.) It may not seem like much but that last snowflake was all that roof needed to collapse under the weight.
Do you get it now?
He didn't kill himself just because of the bill. And he didn't kill himself because his friend did.
Again, are you familiar with the term "the straw that broke the camel's back"?
And again... Do you expect everyone to handle situations like you do, Mr. Strong Brain Man?

I do not appreciate calling me "Mr. Strong Brain Man", quite honestly.
I've had my fair share of mental breakdowns and whatnot, I DO understand what you mean, however everyone has OPTIONS, he had MULTIPLE OPTIONS, either talking to his parents to get him to a psychologist, talking to an e-friend, talking to a real-life friend, there are a lot options, suicide may be an option, but it isn't the right one.
I don't understand how you can justify such an act, or well, it seems as if you do justify it.
@Bathtub: Thanks, however I did not whine, it wasn't a whining, I did not once "cry" because I was rated dumb, it was more of a "question". Quite honestly, you're not really achieving anything by quoting me and stating the said sentence. Good day to you sir.
Okay, perhaps that name was a bit out of line. Apologies.
However, the point of the matter is... Depression, ADHD, all that stuff, can blur out every other option. It can cause a sort of mental tunnel vision where you can't see any other option, or where no other option will ever help, and that suicide is the only end-all solution to stop the suffering.
Depression and other mental health problems causes you to not think rationally. It can make you see things that aren't really there (figuratively), or not see anything else at all.
To a person who is suffering from a very severe problem that causes their view of the world and themselves to become distorted, suicide is completely justifiable.
Perhaps, to him, talking to his parents wasn't going to help. Talking to his friends wasn't going to help. Talking to a psychologist wasn't going to help. Perhaps to him the only thing that was going to help him was ending it.
There's also the factor of other people not taking enough care to help him with his problems. It seemed no one else thought that his problems were severe enough to try to get him help.
The article is a bit sparse on certain details, but maybe this is one of those moments where it boiled up without anyone really knowing, based on the line "She added that there had been a "dramatic" improvement in his behaviour when he moved from Fearns to The Brambles school."
I'm not trying to justify his suicide, I'm just trying to find ways to explain how poor mental health can really screw with someone and make them think it's perfectly okay to do.
Don't worry about the name-calling.
Yes I understand that there are some people but regardless of the matters, everyone has a light at the end of the tunnel, I despise suicide due to the death of a family member and whatnot.
I come from a family with a lot of history on mental disorders so it seems. Thankfully I don't have it.
Maybe I am a little bit bipolar. Who knows.
As years pass on the number of suicides increase, one person sees the other doing it, the other continues to do so, suicide is simply not an answer, I feel bad for his family and condolences to his parents and family.
What's done is done I guess.
I wish you a good day man. ;)
He should've faced the consequences.
The court heard that Henry, who suffered from ADHD, had a "vast" range of behavioural problems which worsened when he moved from primary to secondary school.
Eve said her son had "extreme reactions" to change but was fearless and once even climbed the school roof, the Manchester Evening News reports.
Do you not understand mental disorders? People that are on the brink of suicide AREN'T THINKING RATIONALLY. Is this so hard to understand? This is some shit you just think your way out of. As a person that has been on the brink of suicide multiple times in my life, heres a personal "fuck you" for thinking that. I am getting really sick of people failing to grasp the concept of mental illness.
