I agree. A 10 year old shouldn't be put on antipsychotics. I think it's normal for kids to believe in spells and stuff but even if he IS psychotic his brain is still developing and it's going to fuck up his brain chemistry in the long run.
Maybe this story is just missing some relevant information but it seems like a stupid decision.
