And honestly, I really hope they don't bring Gat or Shaundi back. See "The Death and Return of Superman" by Max Landis.

I kind of liked the idea of uplay, lets you unlock some minor things, but it would easily be better NOT to have it.

it's at least better than games for windows live by a solid amount.

Activision.
Activision wasn't always a shit company. It used to be good, making good games. It's only when Kuntick took the lead that it went down the shitter.

I'm happier with Valve than EA * 100000000000. Ubisoft-- I'm pretty O.K. with them now
I've always said the only thing missing from Saint's Row 3 on the PC was to be a completely unplayable port and be tied to DRM servers that go offline all the time.
SR3 is very stable PC game, the amount of work they put into the PC version you can't even call it a ported game. And ubisoft Uplay itself isn't that bad compared to what Ubisoft used to use.
You guys are acting like THQ makes godly games. They really don't. I understand the sympathy towards them since they're obviously better than the giant companies like Activision, EA, Ubisoft, but at the end of the day what are their great games? Metro was decent, Saints Row was decent, what else?
Just to name a few, Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War, Red Faction, and Darksiders.
I'd rather have Square Enix buy up those properties, but put them under Eidos. But Ubisoft isn't bad, I guess.
We all know Activision would just milk franchises til they ram into the ground. EA would just fuck up some franchises with social networking or simply not make sequels because they deem it bad for profits.
Just to name a few, Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War, Red Faction, and Darksiders.
they're all decent, but they're not top-tier amazing games. As bad as Ubisoft has become, I'd say Far Cry 3 is better than anything THQ has put out, at least in recent years
Company of Heroes.

In your opinion. My opinion states otherwise.
I'm oddly okay with this. Ubisoft's DRM policies are in line with Steam's, which I can live with. The Uplay achievements have actual benefits to them and overal I enjoy the games they put out.
I've given Ubisoft a lot of flack in recent years (rightly so for some of their DRM policies), but they seem to have gotten better lately.
If that other buyers pulls out, this could be interesting.
I want who ever purchases it to redo dow 1 or make dow 3 so badly to make it a more traditional rts again unlike dow 2 and its squad based game play
I've always liked dow 2 more. Don't get me wrong, I like dow 1, but the gameplay is too generic RTS for me, dow 2's smaller scale incursions are more true to how the 40k universe actually works and was more fun in general for me.
no no no
no fucking ubisoft
NO.

That's your opinion.
"You act like they make godly games"
We don't, they make good games and that's what they're known for. Far cry 3 is great and all but you're acting like it doesn't have issues like other games have. Ubisoft has plenty of issues in games and so do THQ, all publishers have their issues.
THQ has made some great game over the last few years.
DoW 2 and CoH have been amazing squad RTS games and have shown a lot of longevity as well as depth.
Darksiders 1 and 2(less so 2) have been fairly solid platformers, with an okay port for PC for 1 and a meh for 2.
Saints Row 2 and 3 are great free world games that have been amazingly supported by THQ, 3 getting a lot of very very good DLC for reasonable prices(DLC isn't going away, that's clear. And well done DLC is still well done content, no reason to bitch about that)
Titans Quest was a great old school game that really tried to get that Diablo feel down in it's own way and I think it totally succeeded in that.
Supreme Commander as well, another top tier RTS, probably the largest scale RTS to come out recently, even if that was several years ago.

And how are you backing up that opinion?
Ubisoft specialize in making console games and doing mediocre ports.
