I really hope they don't become as bad as harcore twillight fans, I don't want to hate the fans of a movie I actually enjoyed.
God I hope I do not live to see the day when furries dress up as na'vi
Also did anyone else notice that Neytiri talked like the Heavy? YOU MAKE NOISE LIKE BABY
Same voice actor. [editline]03:36AM[/editline]
God I hope I do not live to see the day when furries dress up as na'vi
I assure you, Its just a matter of time.
God I hope I do not live to see the day when furries dress up as na'vi
It's too late. Somebody posted a thread about it somewhere, but it's arguable that Na'vi cosplays aren't 'furry'.
I really enjoyed Avatar. Good to see others did too, I--
...depression because pandora does not exist...
[editline]09:42PM[/editline] or, alternatively
Man I can see what these people are getting at; after I read a book/watch a movie/etc I sometimes get kinda bummed out because that's that on that world or those characters, at least until the next installment of the series. But this is just taking it to a whole new fucked up level.

yeah it's that unavoidable feeling after watching a movie After watching Crank I couldn't stop running full force everywhere for a day
I recently saw a FUU picture down there in Photoshop Contests which involved Avatar, shitty, unsaturated reality, and FUUUUUUUU. This is the same basic concept but instead of FUUUUU it's more like SLASH SLASH SLASH SLASH WRISTS [editline]09:48PM[/editline] As sad as it is, I can't help but make fun of it. Is there something wrong with me because it makes me laugh how stupid people can be when they don't think straight?
yeah it's that unavoidable feeling after watching a movie After watching Crank I couldn't stop running full force everywhere for a day
Good to see I'm not the only one with a problem.
Well, everyone feels an emotional bond after seeing a good movie, reading a good book or even playing through a good game. That's what they do. They give you a break from reality. Anything beyond that is clearly a mental defect. If you cannot snap yourself back to reality, there is definitely something wrong. Get out of the basement, get a boyfriend/ girlfriend, just use a condom as not to reproduce another social reject. Also glad that a movie here is only $7.50, WOO! And, I don't know anybody who wishes death upon themselves over a movie with way too much blue dye involved, WOO!
They should have seen the new twilight movie, it was so shit they wouldn't be depressed they'd want there $9 back.
I can understand a slight sadness or depression; but yeah, this is a bit too far. I didn't have any feelings after the first time I saw the movie. I saw it again, and after that I felt kind of depressed and upset with what these people are feeling, but that had passed in a few hours. It wasn't like I was going into a deep state of real depression and having thoughts of suicide or living on Pandora.
omg guys stop being so racist just cause people liek wanna be sad :saddowns:
I haven't even seen the movie yet, I wouldn't get depressed because I love my world.
Make an MMO about it. That's usually what happens, some fantasy world can't exist in real life, someone makes an MMO about it.
yeah it's that unavoidable feeling after watching a movie After watching Crank I couldn't stop running full force everywhere for a day
This is exactly why I have a court order saying I'm not allowed to watch that Antichrist movie again
People like this shouldn't watch movies.
I'm not about to commit suicide or anything, but the movie did leave me feeling pretty sad. The world of Pandora IS beautiful, everything about it. The way the Na'vi are so "spiritually" linked to the planet and each other. It's a movie about a deep, rich community and an intimate connection with everyone and everything. The idea that every creature on Pandora could actually link bodies and minds and even link with the giant brain and goddess that is the planet itself. It really is so beautiful, and a reminder of how alone we really our in these human bodies. The Na'vi could literally become one, allowing each other to feel their minds and bodies in the most intimate way. Human love is nothing by comparison. And obviously the movie isn't real etc, but the IDEA is real. It's something we can comprehend, yet we are incapable of ever truly feeling. And, the Na'vi experience a real and beautiful afterlife.
didnt the same thing happen when girls found out that vampires on Twilight all love bum and can't get it up
Fucking pathetic.
See that's exactly why we should shed ethics and just unlock immortality already. So we can go to another planet and then protect it from our unethics. Bitch don't ask why, we will be Gods. Don't need justifications for that shit. Dog we will breach God's perimeter and run the show.
Sorry, but the Vatican disapproves. :shlick:
It wasn't that good
Oh God, re-read the thread and all of the posts saying like, for one; 'Na'vi are spiritually linked to the planet... Human love is nothing in comparison... Beautiful and real afterlife' and I started to feel depressed even though I haven't fucking watched the movie! You people are like a disease! :black101:
Most of these people would die in 3 seconds over there. Shit's dangerous. :colbert:
Actually, they would pass out after 20 seconds and be dead after a minute
The op
Srsly?
I'd be lying if I said I didn't feel a tad sad that Pandora wasn't real. But I realized that life goes on.
I really enjoyed the movie and I have to admit I did have a sort of depressed feeling when it was over and I've felt the same feelings at the end of a really good book and TV series, but I got over it in a few hours and forgot about it, suicidal thoughts over this is just ridiculous.
Pandora wasn't even that impressive of a fantasy world. All SPESSIAL EFFECTZZZ and shit, not that much culture or worldbuilding. Middle-earth was better (but then again books don't have CUTTING EDGE SPECIAL EFFECTS)...
Because the planet was a beautiful tropical paradise. Where as a vast majority of Middle-earth is ravaged by evil.
