I'd love to see like Frank Millers version of that fight, but I doubt they'll go that direction.
They will. Zack Snyder has a big hard-on for Miller, and The Dark Knight Returns is his favourite comic book. He has consulted with Miller before making this film and several different rumours mentioned two Bat-suits, with one being the mechanical armor from TDKR.

Michael Ironside as the Joker :v: .
Shia LaBeouf as Bizzaro
Can't wait for that Jeremy Irons. [sp]I know Alfred is a different role and Irons was good in other stuff.[/sp]
tbh if you shaved him bald he definitely looks like a villain

Frank Miller's stuff is not that good. Plus, we need less "woe is me the world sucks doesn't it" atmosphere from these comic movies.
Arnold Schwarzenegger as Mr. Freeze

Or better yet, bring on the Bronze Age for both.
Arnold Schwarzenegger as Mr. Freeze
Now that's just too silly.
This is basically what I think they might be aiming for, and I'm not sure if I love it or not.
I'm reminded of Andrew Scott as Moriarty, who managed to fool Sherlock and being undeniably evil, while managing to also be a large ham.

I don't see this casting choice as /too/ bad; like people have been saying, they're trying to cast an arrogant, intelligent, and otherwise asshole young punk who doesn't like the alien flying around because that makes him look inferior. It could work, but I'm gonna have to see. I'm also liking this casting choice purely because of Eisenberg's curly hair, which Lex canonically had before losing it in either age or, in silver age continuities, by a young superman.
I'm surprised no one has posted this yet. Honestly if he looked older and his voice was a bit deeper this would be Luthor as fuck.
well based on the whole "he looks like a nice innocent dude" thing they're going for, him looking young might be a good thing, but even then i'm sure makeup and FX could probably take care of that to make him look older, as for the voice thing, i dunno, make him start smoking a pack a day? :v:

I always confuse Eisenberg with Andy Samberg
Why is this film still happening. Seriously.
Because "milk it til it's dry" is a viable business strategy in Hollywood
this is going to be a craptacular film of the century so far they have *a batman thats too funny to be batman *a superman thats not really super *a very hairy short and funny lex luthor *more mediocore cast members than you can count
idk I liked Cavil as superman more than any other superman i've seen. He just seems to fit the role more.
seriously what's this lex gonna do? kill superman with facebook games?
seriously what's this lex gonna do? kill superman with facebook games?
wow yes totally i mean your comment totally makes sense because that's what actors and scriptwriters do: take stuff from previous movies and just shove it in there i mean i can't wait until alfred starts singing be prepared or when batman suddenly leaves to help some guys stuck in iran i'm so stupid, thinking that actors would act, such a silly idea
HA! This would be like casting the dad from Malcolm in the Middle as a meth-dealing crime lord
HA! This would be like casting the dad from Malcolm in the Middle as a meth-dealing crime lord
Or Frodo from Lord of the Rings, like some spooky cannibal serial killer.
Not bad.
Here's an idea: Let George Clooney be Batman. But, you know. . .with a good script, and a director that actually reads comics. I maintain Clooney would have been a decent Batman had he actually had something to work with.
I'm not really worried about the cast. I'm more worried about the script not being in really good hands.
I'm not really worried about the cast. I'm more worried about the script not being in really good hands.
Didn't Affleck get Argo's writer in and give it a re-write?
I'm not really worried about the cast. I'm more worried about the script not being in really good hands.

The new film is currently being written by Chris Terrio, from a screenplay by David S. Goyer. Charles Roven and Deborah Snyder are producing, with Benjamin Melniker, Michael E. Uslan, Wesley Coller, David S. Goyer and Geoff Johns serving as executive producers.
It's not even a re-write, it's a new script with a basis from Goyer.
We'll see how that turns out then.
