Ken was joking, I saw where the comment actually came from. The user he was responding to joked a bit about Elizabeth porn and he responded with that, he also made several more jokes throughout the AMA.
Think of it like this:
If you make a piece of art which becomes popular [i]someone[/i] is going to draw porn of it. Either they liked your characters enough to go out of their way to create a piece of pornography, or they were interested enough in the overall work that they wanted to provoke a reaction from the fanbase and/or creators. Either way you have created something significant enough that people are willing to visualise your characters in explicit situations and you have touched them emotionally, even if just a tiny bit.
On the other hand, if you make something and there's [i]no[/i] porn of it, with various communities priding themselves on enforcing 'rule 34' by actively creating porn, then your work is so insignificant even perverts on the internet don't consider your characters to be worth their time.
You may not like that people want to see your characters fuckin', but it's better than them not wanting to see your characters at all.
I love rule #34. Rule #34 is a fantastic concept, as it basically has the possibility to convert any and all interests into porn. As a porn enthusiast that basically spends so much time exploring and investigating it that it could probably be considered a hobby on the same level as bird watching, being able to relate almost all my other interests to porn is a godsend.
I've also never quite felt the same way that rule #34 has destroyed any of my childhood memories by tainting their innocence... quite the opposite I often actively seek out to enhance those childhood memories. Perhaps I just never had any childhood innocence to begin with, and deep down even as a kid I always knew there was stuff I wanted to see happen to those characters. I do these little contests for myself where I see how long from first coming across a character I consider attractive to looking up Rule 34 of that person.
I don't think I've lasted more than a day.

Corsets were pretty damn common in that time. It wasn't sexual, it was designing for the time period. And besides that, Elizabeth doesn't really have the tits to make a corset look sexual unless you're looking straight down them (which pretty much never happens).

Corsets were used under or on top of dresses. Dresses that weren't so short on top.
