Obama on the $1 bill...really?
How...arrogant.
On topic, though, I don't really like the new money that much. Reminds me a lot of Australian money, without the transparency.
American's can no longer say pound notes are gay.
Great, now our money might be as gay as the Euro...
Great, now our money might be as gay as the Euro...
Except Euros look a lot better than Dollars. Personally prefer Crowns, if only because of this utterly smexy coin http://img.aktualne.centrum.cz/162/65/1626584-kovova-padesatikoruna.jpg = it's worth about 3 dollars.
Though I have to agree with the rest - why does the US have a 1 dollar note. They're extremely common, get a load of wear and thus have to replaced very often. Compared to coins which tend to hold. That essentially the reason why euro countries tend to have more lower value coins (even if bills for the same exist)
Also what's added stuff for blind people on dollars? I know we have ingrained symbols on ours which blind people can feel and thus know what value the notes have. Not sure what stuff dollars have.
Holy shit, fellow Czech.
Lee Harvey Oswald was about as Communist as i'm a fucking monkey.
Well, he DID renounce his US citizenship and become a citizen of the Soviet Union...
That doesn't quite make him a communist.
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that they should make paper money for values below $1 and put Obama on that.
Since, you know, change we can believe in and all.
i feel like thats fake.
i just dont think obama would ever be on any currency.
and not with his hope symbol shit.
meh.
That vertical money looks really clumsy to store if they're all different sizes.
I do think it'd be better to have the different sized bills visual rather than physical; I.E. the color bars taller or shorter based on dollar value rather than having the bills themselves different sizes in order to make it more uniform but maybe that's just me.
I can see why a redesign may be good, but why is everyone complaining about Obama? My knowledge on American politicians and history, but isn't the Healthcare reform kind of a breakthrough/milestone?
saying Obama doesn't deserve the dollar bill isn't exactly an insult
He was the first black president, right? I wouldn't see anything wrong with that.
And Washington was the first white president so there
I like the third one. It keeps the same basic green but also adds colour.
But I have a feeling no one would like this since we're too accustomed to what we currently have, kind of like the move to the metric system.
What about all the masonic symbols?
How can I buy these tickets to America?

"John McVickar, an official at the Moscow embassy, felt that Oswald, "...was following a pattern of behavior in which he had been tutored by [a] person or persons unknown...seemed to be using words which he had learned but did not fully understand...in short, it seemed to me that there was a possibility that he had been in contact with others before or during his Marine Corps tour who had guided him and encouraged him in his actions."
Also, how does renouncing us citizenship make you a communist.
Man, that new GW bill looks awesome. Same with the FDR one and the others. Hell, they all look awesome, save for the Obama one. I don't think he deserves it yet.
American's can no longer say pound notes are gay.
I don't think they've been able to say that since the '80s.
top one is fucking awesome

Hopefully the people of Nepal can hold them back....

Renouncing his citizenship didn't make him a communist. Doing so to become a citizen of communist Russia did...
I don't want to look all when I'm buying my MANLY PORNO, PROTEIN SHAKES, STEROIDS, AND CAR ENGINES.

Russia was never communist.
And you can't be a citizen of a communist society.
The only thing you guys need to do is get rid of the 1$ note and get a coin.
Seriously when I was over there I couldn't get over the fact I had notes only worth 1$.
Fuck that I hate coins.
They are always jingling around and getting lost in cushions and shit
Russia was never communist.
It was the head of the Soviet Union.
And you can't be a citizen of a communist society.
You're right, mannn! We're all just a freakin numberr!!
I find it funny that America uses paper notes.
Side note: Australian money is damn sexy.
It was the head of the Soviet Union.
The Soviet Union was Stalinist.
The Soviet Union was Stalinist.
Dear Doomish,
What do we do with out of circulation money now?
We use it or collect it
Love, Tetracycline
Are Americans always like this when you try to change anything? Is there always this "fuck you it works fine for me" attitude?
