the dollar is iconic already why change it. euros look like shit because they tried to do exactly this
who gives a fuck what money looks like
I like the space program one, it was predictable because I find the Space Program to be a symbol of american history. But the design itself isn't really to my liking, the red hides the design.
I love the vertical design but Obama sucks and should NEVER be on any kind of currency.
"Now, there's one thing you might have noticed I don't complain about: politicians. Everybody complains about politicians. Everybody says they suck. Well, where do people think these politicians come from? They don't fall out of the sky. They don't pass through a membrane from another reality. They come from American parents and American families, American homes, American schools, American churches, American businesses and American universities, and they are elected by American citizens. This is the best we can do folks. This is what we have to offer. It's what our system produces: Garbage in, garbage out. If you have selfish, ignorant citizens, you're going to get selfish, ignorant leaders. Term limits ain't going to do any good; you're just going to end up with a brand new bunch of selfish, ignorant Americans. So, maybe, maybe, maybe, it's not the politicians who suck. Maybe something else sucks around here... like, the public. Yeah, the public sucks. There's a nice campaign slogan for somebody: 'The Public Sucks. Fuck Hope.'" -George Carlin
Obama is only worth $1 :v:
Actually, if they implement these bills slowly, like printing these instead of the old ones, and slowly putting them into people's pockets, it wouldn't cause a clusterfuck situation.
I like the 1$ bill with Washington a lot.
Obama doesn't fit
Native American on largest bill.
How do these designs stand up to counterfeiting?
I want the new dollar bills.
Why would Obama be on the $1 bill? Its retarded that any of the late presidents, (ESPECIALLY WASHINGTON) would be replaced by him or any other president in recent memory. Can we stop sucking Obama's dick? Please? I'm sure he doesn't appreciate it anymore than I do. He probably feels bad every time somebody gives him credit for things he had absolutely no hand in simply because he is a celebrity president. That, and they are all bright colors. I don't want my eyes blinded by the colors of the rainbow every time I open my wallet.
I like this new design for the moneys, however, I don't want a picture of Obama smirking at me every time I buy a soda.
I really like this one
I believe that he is more of a symbolism of change
So he should be on the coins instead :v:
Ultimate Irony: replace Andrew Jackson on the 20 with an Indian. [editline]04:40PM[/editline] One bill needs FDR.
You buy a 99 cent thing. You give them a dollar. Now what?
everyone would be forced to round obviously since 1 cent doesn't exist. it's like if my store charged 99 cents and three quarters of a cent.
I can see why a redesign may be good, but why is everyone complaining about Obama? My knowledge on American politicians and history, but isn't the Healthcare reform kind of a breakthrough/milestone?
I can see why a redesign may be good, but why is everyone complaining about Obama? My knowledge on American politicians and history, but isn't the Healthcare reform kind of a breakthrough/milestone?
The healthcare bill and all of it's assorted financial burdens it is putting on people is become quite unpopular...moreso than it was at the time of the vote.
You buy a 99 cent thing. You give them a dollar. Now what?
Things will stop costing 99 cents.
Ultimate Irony: replace Andrew Jackson on the 20 with an Indian. [editline]04:40PM[/editline] One bill needs FDR.
FDR was a socialist he hated money [editline]05:09PM[/editline]
everyone would be forced to round obviously since 1 cent doesn't exist. it's like if my store charged 99 cents and three quarters of a cent.
And then suddenly the value of the dollar drops a hundredfold. [editline]05:09PM[/editline]
The healthcare bill and all of it's assorted financial burdens it is putting on people is become quite unpopular...moreso than it was at the time of the vote.
This, basically because all it's doing is paying insurance companies.
I really like this one
He's like "Yeah, that's right bitch"
I wouldn't mind the vertical design.
Redskins are lollies. I perfer to keep it that way.
A Polish coin would like to have a talk with you. [img_thumb]http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_f9G6CuDS9Yw/SuonPAyXdqI/AAAAAAAABQI/MdV8-Z-pcoA/s320/5_zlotych.jpg[/img_thumb]
Nobody's talking to you, Poland...
Not bad at all, IMO
Why can't they be the same size? I cans see that pissing me off trying to organize my wallet
The problem is that if they do this, every single machine that takes bills will need to be replaced/reprogrammed to read these new bills and then everybody will have to go exchange their bills and yada yada yada and it's a big fucking mess for nothing other than cosmetical value.
the united state's reserve ratio is only 10% so there isn't as much liquid money as you might think, it wouldn't be too much of a hassle for the majority of people
FDR was a socialist he hated money
Nonsense [editline]10:22AM[/editline] look he's on the dime as it is
I really like Obama as president, but it's extremely inappropriate to place a living person on currency IMO. Even if he died tomorrow I wouldn't consider him to be $1-bill-image-worthy. Still, I like the idea of vertical currency and I like the different-sized currency- blind people have been petitioning the government to do that for decades.
The healthcare bill and all of it's assorted financial burdens it is putting on people is become quite unpopular...moreso than it was at the time of the vote.
War on drugs and war on terror are even worse, yet public support is like at 20%. I healthcare bill is not an issue.
