This is the same institution that is publicly fighting against birth control in all forms, women's rights, and gay rights all the way at the very top in the Vatican. This isn't just a few freak occurrences I'm talking about.
Yeah, them homogays and women need to learn their place. How dare they defy god with their feminism and their penis-touching. You know what the vatican does like, though? Martians. Extraterrestrial rights are just fine! The church is inherently ass-backwards. Somehow, the people who have things that don't negatively impact their ability to perform as a human are somehow considered less human than aliens. I don't think this is so much a problem with the faith as it is that the faith is led by people who are older, who grew up in a time where social issues were different. And I want to believe that the papacy is coming around to this new way of thinking. It might take a bit of convincing, but we'll get there. They have to either adapt or die out. Sooner or later, we'll be in an age where even the most devout Christians would shun this type of behavior from a church. Only a minority believes stoning atheists is still okay, it'll become the same way for every other abhorrent thing the bible advocates.
I would beat the shit out of the pastor if they did that to any of my family, fuck your dumbshit mentality on civil rights.
Land of the free!* *(unless you're gay black or female)
The pastor is black you know
I would beat the shit out of the pastor if they did that to any of my family, fuck your dumbshit mentality on civil rights.
I'm sure your fists will beat new opinions into him somehow.
That's the definition of the worst kind of evil. When evil itself thinks it can do no wrong.
No one in real life objectively looks at what they're doing and thinks "yep that's evil alright". That's cartoon logic.
Sometimes I would wish the world was a more fair place. As if this day wasn't shit enough. This asshole should not have been allowed to do this legally. They need to pass a law giving homosexuals and transgenders 100% protection against this sort of discrimination. This is not tolerable at all.
We should ship all the homophobes to Northern Iraq, see how they like it.
We should ship all the homophobes to Northern Iraq, see how they like it.
They would likely be welcomed with open arms by the terrorists before their throats get slit for being kafirs.

Think about it. We have a separation of church and state, whether religious people like it or not. This means though that religions benefit because the state can't and won't force them to do certain things against their beliefs. Providing a funeral service is one of these things. Why should any church or religious organization be forced to provide a funeral service for someone if they don't want to? Laws against discrimination for gays and transgenders is a great idea, but it doesn't apply to religions.
has this church been burned down yet
Why not? If I'd said "I've got this whole forum", sure, I'd be totally wrong. But with the entire internet I have access to hundreds of thousands of differing opinions of life in any given state of the US, and most of the world (maybe not China). I can read various forums, blogs, journalistic pieces, academic writings, etc. Its not too hard to build up an idea of the state of affairs for a country and the average inhabitant when you have near unlimited information available. There's no reason for " yeah you don't live here fuck off" to be counted as valid in any developed nation in a period of our lives where we are massively connected and sharing tons of information freely.
But Britain is such a great country where everyone hates Muslims and gypsies. Oh, and don't forget that hosting a proxy server is illegal there. See now? You can't judge a nation based on what you read on the internet because the bigoted bunch seem to always be ten times more vocal than the average person.

I'm not talking about reading some fucking news articles or a small number of blogs here, I'm talking about using the entire Internet as the information repository it was meant to be, reading tons of news articles, comment sections, political whatevers and blogs. Not just a few that are pushing a certain view, but as many as needed. It really isn't hard to build up a fairly good idea of what a place is like when you have so much available to research with. If you're going to resort to the bullshit in the first half of your post, then fine, totally miss the point of what I'm saying. I don't see life in the US as entirely what is posted in SH, they are certainly big parts of it seeing as it's what the media are pushing all day every day, but I know that isn't life in the US for everyone in the US because I can read about people in the US saying exactly that! Hopefully they'll also go on to explain what they experience differently, usually in the form of a bigass rant.
