He probs should have kept quiet. It's lucky no one cares what he thinks. I just want to know when they're going to put anthony albanese in charge.

Never because members of Labor's left never take the leadership, with the only recent exception being Gillard.
Joe's making a speech.

They can't. The new Labor party rules means that the leader must be voted in by an election of members. 50% Labor caucus, 50% Labor members.
Albanese may have the members, but he will not have the caucus.
Joe's come out in support of Tony. Pretty sure you can see the sweat on his brow.

I think Hockey just dug a big old hole for his party. "Let's not become a Carbon Copy of Labor." Dohohohohoho
Oh wow, great job, Hockey! That's definitely what you want to do; remind the Australian public that they can literally, collectively fire the government if they want to. That won't come back and bite you in the ass even if Abbott wins this spill tonight and continues down the same, stupid path he's currently going down.

At least he had the gall to go down with the captain's ship.
Turnbull will nab Morrison for Treasurer.

Man it's going to be great having someone with a degree in economics as the treasurer rather than some lawyer.

Tony's keeping up with stopping the boats, I see.

Turnbull is a lawyer, and a banker.. the guy is jack, and master of those trades.
Not to mention he is his own PR machine.

I don't really care who wins, it's just really fucking funny to watch the Liberal party completely shit the bed before the Canning by-election.

I am just waiting for the huge fucking smirk on Tony Jones' face tonight when he asks a former Liberal leader his thoughts on the debacle. :pudge:

Speculation all over the place - ABC began by saying that insiders had said turnbull would win, now it looks like it might be incredibly tight - I really hope he gets booted but I'm not sure
Ask Tony Abott what he's done for this country and 100% of the time he'll always start with "we stopped the boats", his main slogan.
Tony's a fuckwit but it doesn't really change much, we'll still have a breaindead government, just led by someone who can actually string a sentence together.
Turnbulls probably getting back at Abbott for the whole "mr. internet" thing a while ago
LNP meeting [del]Ballot[/del] is to take place at 11:15 GMT apparently.
It could take up to an hour until anything is known.
The result might be announced half way through Q&A..

Let's hope so! that could be a lot of fun
They are actually going though with this now? It seem like the media was just pulling the same stuff they did last round.

Malcolm comes running into the studio room declaring he has the leadership, collapses and literally dies on the floor. Tony Jones looks confused and smiles into the camera saying "I'll take that as a comment"
So who does bishop support I keep hearing different things

HAHA SHORTEN MUST BE SHITTING HIMSELF LABOR WONT FACE AN EASY ELECTION
rip tone

He won't be sworn in until tomorrow. Abbott is still the PM until such a time.

Who posted this? He has already said that if he won the spill that he would not be doing anything about Gay Marriage until next Parliament (bar a plebiscite).
