I had a mental image of how that would go.
Garry would probably let it go ahead. Candidates would come forward, votes would be cast. After the votes are counted and the winner declared, the new elected leader informs Garry that his reign of terror is at an end and that he must hand over the forum.
And then Garry just says, "nope". Nothing changes, but people got it out of their system and we all took part in a nice popularity contest.

Uh no it isn't, but countless personal bans and abusing his position as mod to strong-arm people in dumb little debates as well as basically doing less actual modding than the other mods is pretty great of a reason too.
I'll be honest I don't wish that these lobbyists die, as much of a bad thing they are doing and don't care, but I just kinda wish that they'd realize to some extent that they're telling other people they can't love each other, and using money and religious arguments (that are faulty, most likely that they were told to believe that they're right, but their book probably says is wrong.)
