Why is it a , instead of a . for the 61.5%?

Yeah I'm not seeing this ad supported music area, would be incredibly handy if it was available for me. Switched my country from Australia to the UK, Canada, South Africa, Worldwide and still nothing
If I lived in germany I probably wouldn't be able to survive without a VPN.
You don't need a full VPN, there are a couple of simple YT Unblockers for browsers that do the job. GEMA is shit, they literally ask to get payed for every single view on a video which they think is their music and the amount of money they want per view is even higher than what is the normal payout Google gives other companies like VEVO. (Which isnt payed per every single view.) :v:
Vimeo is pretty much the only one tbh.
Vimeo is a lot more strict in what you can post (e.g. no gaming content unless you're the developer).
GEMA is cancer, it isn't even like most musicians being a member of it actually profit from it. The earnings of GEMA are distributed in a really dodgy way, and there is literally [del]40[/del] 80 pages of regulation on just that, only to confuse people. There is even cases where they did not recognize Creative Commons Licenses of some independant music contest. GEMA classifies its members into three classes: "angeschlossenes Mitglied" (simple membership), "außerordentliches Mitglied" (advanced membership) and "ordentliches mitglied" (full membership). In order to advance in these classes, you'll need to be an advanced member for 5 years AND you must have received a certain amount of revenue from GEMA during that time. The catch is of course, the full members controls the revenue distribution regulations themselves, and have the ability to make it artifically harder to reach this stage. Have a look at pages 45-46 on this one. Above you've got the amount of members in each class, below you've got the distribution of revenue ("Ausschüttungen"). https://www.gema.de/fileadmin/user_upload/Presse/Publikationen/Jahrbuch/gema_jahrbuch_2013-14.pdf You can easily see the disproportion in here, which is mostly caused by the simple members, not having any influence on decision processes at the top of GEMA. tl;dr: A small elite inside GEMA snatches all the money it can by absorbing alot of licenses from big aswell as small copyright holders, collects tons of money with those, and distributes most of it back to the small elite.
Vimeo is pretty much the only one tbh.
With any service, it's just a matter of time before it gets large enough to be sued, and then the cycle continues.
Vimeo is a lot more strict in what you can post (e.g. no gaming content unless you're the developer).
They only did that because at the time youtube's quality was still shit and stage6 had just gone down. So, everybody started uploading their gameplay videos to vimeo and supposedly they accounted for more than 50% of the videos that were being uploaded. So, they just took it all down.
