I'm not sure why you're all so convinced nobody actually wants independence there. The most recent poll I could pull up (from 2 days ago) indicates that somewhere around 32% support it, 47% are against it, and the rest are undecided or indifferent. In theory the amount of undecided could end up pushing the 'yes' vote to a higher percentage than the 'no' vote, although that seems unlikely. All I'm saying is you shouldn't act like this is some issue that absolutely nobody agrees with, otherwise there wouldn't be any contention over it in the first place. [editline]5th February 2013[/editline] Here's that poll, by the way: http://www.angus-reid.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/2013.02.03_Referendum_SCO.pdf
When told it will cost money, the indifferent will vote no
I personally love that flag, we need to give the welsh some love, so lets shove a green dragon in the background [sp] or a sheep [/sp]
What a baaaaaaaaaaamy suggestion.
The Scotch should leave they have disproportionate powers in the kingdom anyway they have their own parliament and laws also have constituencies in westminister to fuck up the england and wales legislation they are exempt from. That's already having the cake and eaten it. if they must stay then reduce their seats in westminister to keep their deformed shit to their own for a fairer Britain.

A bastard coalition that was elected on lies itself and wholly rejected by Scotland. I don't support Independence but I can see why the Scottish want to cut themselves loose from the union right now: Cameron and his trained monkeys in power.

We leave and everyone suffers pal, and that's really all there is to it.
Welcome back Scotland, Scandinavia's missed you the last 1000+ years. Can't wait to eat some fried Mars-bars.
I wouldn't mind if we left the UK and did some sort of economic agreement with Norway. If we do get some of the oilfields we could follow Norway's example and have some sort of state organised drilling company like statoil. I think all the other Scottish FP'ers will agree that we're not bottles of whisky.
Again?
They ran out of money when they tried to make a colony in Panama which was one of the main reasons for the Treaty of Union.
Northern Ireland is still delicate, and with England having a greater share of the power in the Union, that could cause problems (I don't know too much about the troubles in Northern Ireland but it's a possibility)
Of all the home nations, it's Northern Ireland that's the pain in the butt for Westminster today. I'd bet they would love to kick away N.I. and make it Dublin's problem, but couldn't because politics, and it may rock the stability of the British Union.
