I hope more areas aren't bombed like Boston. I live down there but I'm currently in CA and I'm worried as shit
TERRORISTS WIN
Could you just go away or something? You're not funny.
3 confirmed dead.
fuck, goddamit
are you seriously a fucking sociopath
Relax. People deal with shock in different ways, some need humour, hard as that may be to understand when you're in shock as well. Right now, none of us know for sure what's really going on, but we sure as hell know what it looks like, and I'm afraid - Afraid the attack (if it is one) might be bigger in scale than first anticipated, and afraid of what the fallout will mean for certain racial minorities in the USA.

There's no way it could be an accident.

Yes, it appears to be a deliberate attack but we have no idea who set it up nor what their motivations are. Let's wait for confirmation.
Stuff like this makes me scared to leave my house. I mean this can happen anywhere. Just imagine losing your legs and arms tomorrow. Or rather not. It's just too horrible.
it's extremely unlikely for this to happen to you, it's so unlikely that it should not warrant paranoia.
I think this is definitely a terrorist attack, someone reported the explosion came from a garbage can.
image of people laying on the ground bleading with legs scattered everywhere Tragic. i hope it's just an accident
that image was literally posted in the first 5-6 posts and was linked to because its just a tad graphic
Tragic. i hope it's just an accident
Jesus dude nsfw that
gore Tragic. i hope it's just an accident
its been posted 3 or 4 times already
theres a reason why that photo was already turned into a link earlier in this fucking thread.
it's extremely unlikely for this to happen to you, it's so unlikely that it should not warrant paranoia.
It's actually not that unlikely depending on where you live, sadly
add this to the op http://boston.cbslocal.com/2013-boston-marathon-finish-line/
-Snip shitty joke- In all seriousness, I hope no one died or something,
Did you not see the sidewalks painted with blood?
There were a couple of runners from my city too.
I'm having a hard time hearing on the scanner. They were talking about the Mandarin Hotel where there was reportedly another device, but it sounded like they mentioned another hotel as well.
BBC are reporting via reuters that the NYPD have raised their alert level in response
This is horrible.
Holy shit, why would anyone do this to a charitable event. I hope to god this is not the start of some more terrorist attacks.
its been posted 3 or 4 times already
blood =/= gore
It's a different feeling you get when you see the pictures after what's happened rather than just hearing about it, especially with all that blood. I can't even imagine what the people caught in the explosion are going through.
I'm having a hard time hearing on the scanner. They're checking the highschool, they're checking parked vans and vehicles, they're checking the library, everything. Police radios suck ass and boston accents aren't much of a help either.
Video of the explosion... http://vine.co/v/bFdt5uwg6JZ
I can't see this being an accident. How awful. Hopefully they are able to find who, if anyone is behind it, perpetrated it.
I think this is definitely a terrorist attack, someone reported the explosion came from a garbage can.
Well duh. A terrorist attack is designed to disrupt emergency personal, and infuse panic/fear/disorder into the public. These bombs have since done that very well.
From Reuters http://live.reuters.com/Event/Boston_Marathon_Explosion Is the Lenox where the first two bombs were or is this something else going on? Edit: It's another hotel, the first two bombs were in the Fairmount Copley Plaza Hotel
Holy shit, why would anyone do this to a charitable event. I hope to god this is not the start of some more terrorist attacks.
It's probably one lone sociopath who hates the world.
-Snip shitty joke- In all seriousness, I hope no one died or something, and I really fucking hope there isnt a third bomb somewhere
its almost like you didnt read the thread
