it's an opinion he cannot physically speak for everyone like he's trying to do with this part of the post because that is his opinion and he does not represent the rest of the people that played bulletstorm [editline]5th April 2011[/editline] i personally enjoyed the game and found it humorous as well, despite being a little small-minded with the dick jokes
It's an opinion, we get it. Every time you post your view on something, it's generally implied that it's your opinion. You don't have to open up your post with "I think" or "I believe" every single time you want to state your view on something, that's childish and excessive.
Thanks. Been waiting for a while. Very curious to see how the game will perform on my system.
Awful game. Also, some critics and the devs claim that the game's dialogue is extremely unique and language is inappropriate and hilarious. It's not, if anything most of the time it's just the cast throwing satirical insults at each other with not as much as a chuckle from the player.
I liked the dialogue, and I'm not a 15 year old, I'm 19. I admit I didnt laugh at a lot of it, but I did laugh at some, and the bits that werent funny I see as just been normal character dialogue...Profanities in games dont NEED to automatically mean they are trying to be funny, the characters swear a lot anyway.
I enjoyed it. It was a bit of fresh air at a non-serious shooter. It was actually fun and it kept a smug smile on my face 90% of the time.
I second this. I'm normally not one for extremely linear shooters, but I think it pulled it off quite well, the gameplay was kept fresh and there were some pretty cool events and gameplay mechanics. I still didnt buy it though, after reading the amount of problems people were having just getting it to start, I thought it was too risky to spend that much on it.
opinion
:bravo: its an internet forum
Seems like a ok game but no way I'm paying 40 euro for a 6 hours long singleplayer campaign. I'll wait until it comes on sale.
I remember being so hyped for this game when I saw the first video on it. Once I saw the price tag and lack of effort for the pc 'port', I felt betrayed. No demo for us, along with a console price tag? No thanks. I've been curious how the visuals are on the PC, but I don't think I'll be going anywhere further than the demo until it has a massive sale of nearly 80% off.
2 things Its not a "shitty port" it runs fine Also learn economics if you want to cry about prices [editline]5th April 2011[/editline] /this game is fucking fun as hell. Imma just slide on my ass and cut this guy in half with my motherfucking quadbarrel shotgun :dong:
Did two playthroughs, did the echo's. I'd say it was worth it. Even though it lacks re-playability, I feel like its a lot more fun and entertaining then the average games that gets released these days.
you're all asspained because i am ranked 650th on the global echoes leaderboard. On a more serious note, this game murders "realism" shooters like call of duty and actually brings an incredibly original and fun concept to the FPS genre. Depending on how you play your games you'll find different levels of replayability; I've blasted through the campaign twice and my echoes leaderboard position speaks for itself. From what I've heard this isn't a great PC port (I own it for the xbox k magets), I can understand how that would piss some people off (I played Borderlands on the pc then on the xbox) and I can safely say I know which one is more fun, but it's a work of art if you look past the excessive use of ironic humour and medium-rare plot.
Game is actually quite fun. It's not for me though.
Masively negatively bandwagoned because it annoys pc gamers that it had no pc demo and it ain't the best port either. But butthurt aside, its a funny and entertaining game. Too bad it indeed is quite short, but it still is different and longer than all those "semi realistic" modern war scenario fps.
A great game with some flaws, but not enough to stop you from buying it (at a discounted price).
Like Crysis 2.
Fun demo. Runs surprisingly well for me too. AMD Athlon XP 2800+ 2.4ghz Geforce 7600GS 512mb 2gb ram WinXP SP3 But it does indeed feel like a port in the truest sense of the word. Awkward control scheme, no jump button, the FOV is tiny, Press Key to Begin opening, and plenty of other things.
You have got to be kidding me.
I'd try it out, but I lost interest. After hearing the game's only worth like 6 hours of play, no way in hell am I gonna pay 60 for it. I'll buy it when it's 20 bucks, until then, I could care less.
i get super bad FPS with this demo
Game is actually quite fun. It's not for me though.
Uh... what? You like the game but it's not for you? What the fuck am I reading?
Only things I really enjoyed about this game really were the voice acting (not the writing) and the skillshots.
Tried the demo, it was fun but didn't feel like it was worth the 50€.

I was pumped for this game with or without a demo and was let down because of very real issues. Also this is a very short game and easy game.
I agree the game was shit, but not because of its linearity. Linearity or non linearity doesnt make a game bad or worse, its like debating whether FPS or RPG is a better genre.
The linearity definitely wasn't its worse point but what I'm really referring to is the level design and lack of any puzzle solving elements what-so-ever. There are no alternate paths that lead to ammo or collectibles or allow you to take advantage of your next encounter. Everything is right in front of you. The level design was very easy to navigate too. Just think about Half-life 2. Its linear compared to say the elder scrolls series but compared to many traditional FPS its not.
And then Cliffy B comes out and says "SEE WE RELEASED DEMO BUT PEOPLE STILL PIRATE IT! PC MARKET IS DEAD!"
oh no cliffy b wouldn't make games for pc anymore what a fucking crying shame that would be
I played the demo and it was a little fun. My only problems are: - The framerates (it seems too needy, and it isn't that good-looking) - The player moves at an uncomfortably fast speed
i know for a fact thats intentional
Well it's still ridiculous. So annoying. It makes the low FPS more noticeable.

Beware, "slight" has discovered the dumb rating!
