Yes but the government doesn't understand that, so instead they spend billions building more roads and more railways in the hope that people will use them

Thing is, around here, On the Fenchurch-Southend line, if it was any cheaper to travel by train there would be so many people at peak times that you would literally not get on.
They seem incapable of creating more capacity so many they dont want so many people to use there service because they just cant handle the load.
I live 30 miles from London approx and it costs my mates that work up London between £3k-4k per year in train fares.
